i am using amelia for letting my customers book cooking clinics, workshops and private diners.
i am struggling with creating normal opening hours.
my problem is that when i test the plugin, it shows that i can book at different times starting form 00:00, which isnt correct ofcourse. id like my opening hours to be from 17:30 til 01:00, and id like my customers to choose from these times 17:30, 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30 and 20:00. the service i am providing has a flexibel duration. sometimes its 3 hours and other times its 5 hours. so i thought i would be best to have the duration set to 1 hour.
can you help me with my problem. i have been struggling for some days now, and i cant get it right.
Hello stef
Thank you for your purchase.
Check your booking site from an Incognito window. I can see the working hours are configured properly without logging into your site:
So, you're seeing 24 hours available for booking because you're logged in as an administrator, and you have the "Allow admin to book appointment at any time" option in Settings/Roles/Admin enabled.
Amelia can't go over midnight, so booking at 20:00 is possible, but the duration of the appointment can't be 5 hours in that case (when Amelia is concerned).
If you want the customers to be able to book in 30-minute increments, you need to set the "Default Time slot step" in Amelia's General Settings, to be 30-minutes, but in that case when they book an appointment at 18:30, for example, that lasts 2 hours, the employee assigned to this appointment will not be able to accept anything in between, and the first available appointment after this one will be at 20:30.
