Amelia is used in German language. The string "On-Site" payment shows up in the backend and on the website frontend. I translated that string to the German word for that (Barzahlung). This shows up in the backend, but it does not show up in the frontend. There still the english string shows up. Do I need to change it somewhere else or can you fix that?
Thank you for purchasing Amelia, and for reaching out to us.
Amelia doesn't have any language settings, and it inherits its language from WordPress. We have a German translation. You need to set the language in WordPress for your site to be in German then it should be tranlated.
Adding language in Amelia has the functions of the second language for the "extra (additional)" translation but the language needs to be the same as your default website language. After you change the language of your WordPress site, Amelia will be translated also.
Approximately 80%-85% of the plugin is translated into the languages stated above, but you can always translate it using Poedit or Loco Translate.
Translating all strings in the plugin is very easy since there is a file with all strings ready for translation. We usually advise using Loco Translate or POEDIT, and here are the steps that you need to take to translate the plugin. This is an example for the French language:
Download and install POEDIT.
After that, open the program and open the file from your website located in ..wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/wpamelia-fr_FR.po.
Translate all the strings that are not translated
Save the translation.
If you’re using some other PO editor, other than POEDIT you may need to compile the .mo file also. POEDIT does this automatically, but we cannot guarantee that for other editors.
Go to ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/ folder and copy these two files called wpamelia-fr_FR.po and wpamelia-fr_FR.mo back to your website in the location ../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/languages/fr_FR/.
During the translation of all these strings, you will notice that this file doesn’t have the names of your categories, services, custom fields, descriptions, and notification templates since all these need to be translated directly in the plugin.
Some labels that are not provided in Amelia > Customize, can be changed using POEDIT or Loco Translate easily. I suggest installing Loco Translate, since it's within WordPress and it has a simple UI.
Hello, what you descriped is already done. The string does translate well in the admin view. But in the frontend checkout mask (see screenshot) for the user there is not variable behind that string, so it does not translate. Can you add that to be translateable?
We haven't received any screenshots can you please send us again.
But you need to set the language in WordPress for your site to be in German(Italian) then it should be translated.
If the default site language is supposed to be German(or Italian), you need to set that in WordPress' General settings, in WPML's language settings, and then remove the language from Amelia (since it'll be the default language, it will automatically be applied, and English should be added as a second language if you wish).
Can you try that in the meantime? Let us know how that goes, and we are

Hello, as described in my very first text, the screenshot is attached. Please open or take a look at the checkout here: https://weiss-institut.de/kontakt/ Thanks in advance for helping.
As far as we can see everything is in the German language, on-site has been translated. If you have something else in mind please write to us in a little more detail.
