Hello, I configured Amelia recently and everything was working fine.
In particular, email notifications worked without problems. On the other hand today I realize that they do not work any more whereas I did not change anything of my configuration of the other day. There may have been some updates on wordpress and Amelia but that's it.
I have no problem with OVH my host, I think suddenly that the problem comes from your side ...
I attach you the screenshot of the problem and my configuration.
Amelia had no updates since November 24th, 2021, so it was definitely not caused by the plugin. All notifications work with v4.3.1 as well as they did prior to this.
From your screenshots, I can't say what exactly is causing this, but if you can provide me with a temporary wp-admin (Administrator) user credentials, I'll gladly remote in and see what's going on.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
When I test the notifications with your SMTP credentials, there's a 500 error (a server error) with this error preview in the console:
Basically, it doesn't seem like your credentials or configuration is wrong, but instead the website's server is blocking the connection. I tried with my credentials, that work 100% on all Amelia installations, but they failed as well, so please reach out to your hosting provider.
OVH (mailing host, if I'm not mistaken) shows the same instructions for connecting to SMTP as you have on your site here, so if the hosting provider for your website is blocking the connection, they should be able to unblock it.
I honestly can't say what blocks Amelia from sending notifications on your site.
I just tried my credentials on another user's website, and they worked fine. They worked correctly on about 3 websites only today, so there has to be something on your end that's blocking the notifications.
Can you please check out this page about possible solutions, and maybe forward them to your hosting provider. It looks like a good resource for handling this issue. There's nothing in Amelia that you can tweak to make it work, as it does function solely on the credentials. Something did happen, somewhere, that made sending email notifications impossible, but I can't say what. Does your hosting provider have any update log?
