I have an urgent issue concerning a website running with Amelia.
The plugin is not loading or taking any appointment, and is being very slow. The calendar and the planning are just loading endlessly. Even past appointments are not showing up while they are present in the DB (I checked).
I tried to desactivate all the other plugins on the website, plus changing to a default theme, but it stays the same.
It looks like a bug for the new year as everything was being OK before.
I can provide you with credentials so you can have a deeper look at it.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
We have performed checks from our end and came to the conclusion that there was an issue with the database. This usually happens when hosting is changed or the hosting provider updates the database.
We have performed updates in the database, can you please test it out from your end, it should be working fine.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
Hi Uroš, and thank you very much for your quick support.
I just tested it on my side, and it seems things are working again, and the console doesn't show anymore an error 500 while being on the backend. On the front end booking forms are also back online.
May I ask what went wrong in the DB? So the next it happens I might be able to fix it.
Here is a detailed explanation of the issue that you had experienced.
This usually happens when your database is configured to use SQL_BIG_SELECTS, but Amelia has that turned off by default because the majority of databases don't use it.
If you know your way around the database, you can enable this yourself by going into the wp_options database table (wp_ is the default database prefix, but it could be anything on your end):
In there, click on SEARCH at the top, and in the "option_name" column search for "amelia_settings":
The search will return only one row, and you need to edit it:
In "option_value" column, search for "pdoBigSelect":
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
