I want to create an event or service (over a number of days) that ONLY allows 1 person to make a booking
for example, I want a
service or event - that is over 3 days, say Jan 17, 18 and 19.
with a specific time say 17:30 until 20:30 on these days .
with 1 hour slots & a capacity of 3, per slot.
Once a user selects 1 of the event / session, they cannot book this service or Event again. (so they cant pick the same service/event on a different dat3/time)
=====
Whats I've tried so far
Events - I tried with events
1 users can book only once for an event.
Problem:Day 2 is considered a new event and time slot 2 is considered a new event.
Question: Can tags be used - user can only book 1 event per tag?
Service - I tried with Service
I cannot put a time frame on a service to control dates and times, and I cannot control users booking more than 1 session.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately, limiting the number of bookings for a person is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.
It probably can be done with some custom work, but our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't be having the time for custom work in the near future.
But we can recommend this service for customization:
They do develop such solutions, so can you please send your inquiry to them?
Also, please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, and see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis.
oh dear.. thats very disappointing.. I would have thought this would be a basic function.
Organisations who offer free services/events as a sample..need to limit how many sessions can be booked.
it would be super simple to implement..for example if you use a tag (some pseudo code)
if user has booked event with tag, X AND limit= limit-Selected
then disallow booking
message: you already have the number of books for this even type
Im afraid I need to restrict double bookings by the same user and dont wish to pay for customisation - we're a non profit and we cannot afford this and its a fundamental requirement for us.
I'd love to buy the plugin again, once this is completed..or if someone can help us with it for FREE.
We understand your wishes I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

I absolutely love this plugin, its amazing and you guys have far outdone any other plugin..
I just need to be able to limit the users to 1 free session, I also have a higher demand than supply, so to be fair I have to limit.. I wish there was something that can be done..
Thank you for your kind words. Please add it to the suggestions and hopefully with enough demand for that feature it will be implemented sometime in the future.
We wish you all the best and have a great holiday.
