We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
I already have purchased wpdatatables. I want to use a table within a single post template, and have users only view their data.
I'd like to use the Powerful filters addons so that users can filter by post title. Before I purchase, can the filter be set so that users will only see the post titles that they have authored?
Many thanks,
Karl
Hi, Karl.
Thanks for reaching out to us.
1. The powerful filters are used to add more flexibility and "on the fly" filtering when you combine them with existing "advanced filters" from wpDataTabes.
For example, it adds "cascading filters", and "hide the table before it loads" into the mix. More details about that on this link - https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/powerful-filtering/
2. Regarding the setting to make "the authors see only their own rows/data",
it can be done a couple of different ways, depending on how the table is created and configured, and what could be the best for your situation...
For example, If you made the table Front End editable, then you could create a custom integer column, which would store the currently logged author's ID ( we usually hide it from the Front End), and you can use a built-in setting to easily make the table dynamic and only load the posts for their authors.
More details about that on this link ( with an example) - https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/front-end-editing/allowing-users-to-edit-only-their-own-data/
If you need more details or further assistance, please send us a more detailed explanation of your situation.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
