Hi- Great Plug-in and thank you for doing such excellent work!
I am using a Calculation Function shortcode on my page. You will see in the example that there is a 'Total Population' sum being displayed in a separate table below the main table. The number changes when the user filters the data and I would like to display the shortcode in closer proximity to the filters, ideally below the Filters or in the space below the Table Tools where the search block used to display. (ETA: Yes, I know the Title of this ticket says 'above filters', which is a mistake. I meant to type 'below filters' but I cannot update.)
The link you sent us for the page, does not work properly.
Could you send us a working link to the page, or a screenshot, just to be sure we can see exactly what we are working with, and we will come up with a solution for you?
Apologies that we did not respond to this sooner, but we will follow this up for you with urgency moving forward.
From what I can see, you only need to change the order of the shortcodes. The "Population Total" is currently above the charts, while the filters are below them:
So, if I understood your initial request correctly, you need to add the charts shortcodes first and then the SUM shortcode, and then the table's.
What I had initially hoped for is a way to control the positioning of the Filters. As it is now, it seems that there is no way to separate the Filters from the main table, correct? Ultimately, I want the order to be:
Filters
Population Total
Charts
Main Table
But it seems that the Filters and the Main Table are intrinsically linked and there is no way to display elements between them. Is this correct?
- We will keep working to improve the plugin and implement as many new features with updates as possible.
May I ask you for a small favor if you don’t mind?
Can you, please, leave a review on the Lite version of wpDataTables if you have an account at wordpress.org and find a couple of minutes of your time? No need to write any specific text.

Is this possible?

Hello Stella
Sorry for the late response.
That is correct - filters, even though they are above the table, are a part of the table, and you can't add other elements between them and the table.

OK, understood. I've showed the client as is and they are really pleased with the Charts and Filtering anyway, so thanks again for a great tool!
Happy New Year!
