You just need to change the primary color in Amelia/customize we are sending you the picture where you can see the changes
And when we change that we get this
Regardin your question about taxes. Amelia itself doesn't handle the payments but we have integration with several payment systems such as: PayPal, Mollie, Stripe and WooCommerce.
What you want is possible to do with WooCommerce products for different services. By default, all services are connected to one WooCommerce product, but if you create multiple products you will be able to choose a product that will be connected to each service.
Once you enable WooCommerce as a payment method, go to the Services page, open one of the services and you will see a Settings tab. When you choose this tab you will see the option “Select WooCommerce product” where you can choose a product that will be connected to this service.
This way, you will be able to set different taxes and other WooCommerce options for each product and each service in Amelia.
Or you can just write the price with tax included and insert (Tax incl.) On behalf of the service.
And as for the time format Amelia inherits time format from WordPress. And Amelia does not have its own set of Date/Time settings but follows the global WordPress configuration.
You can always modify it by going to the Settings » General page in the WordPress admin area and scroll down to the TimeZone section. Set up the “Timezone”, “Date Format”, “Time Format”, and the “Week Starts On” settings as appropriate for your business. After you click “Save Changes”, the defined settings will be used by Amelia booking.
If you have any more questions please feel free to open another ticket.
1. I already tried changing the primary colour. The problem is that I want white text on the button. If I do this, yes, I can see the text on that button, but then many other buttons and elements become illegible! Please see attached screencaptures. I can only fix one button by breaking another! Yes, I can change the primary colour to grey or something and everything is legible, but it doesn't look great, particularly the button on the calendar which ends up with a white border and grey text. I'd like to style the buttons like all the other buttons on the site - green with white text, darken on hover. Seems crazy that I can't just style the buttons without having to randomly change loads of other items at the same time?
2. That is a shame about the taxes. I know how to configure taxes in WooCommerce. It's not an idea solution however. I already have ARMember installed and configured with taxes which calculate and display during the booking process for subscriptions. In WooCommerce therefore I have tax configured with the setting that I'll enter prices including VAT and all works perfectly.
That means with current set up I'd have to put prices in Amelia including VAT, but it wouldn't be obvious to anyone that this was the case till they got to the checkout. This is a really critical feature - takes should show in the basket / from the beginning not just in the checkout.
Perhaps will have to reconsider whether Ameila is a feasible option going forward. Amelia, booking plugin for the Cayman Islands...
Speaking of which, is it possible to skip the basket, and go direct to the checkout. Passing through the WooCommerce basket from the Ameila basket page seems like an unnecessary extra step?
3. OK, yes makes sense. I'm just configuring the plugin for someone else so haven't touched their settings, just presumed with it being in Spain they'd want 24hrs.
We will try to answer to all of your questions as best as possible:
1. There is probably some conflict with the theme or maybe with some other plug-in. Please send us the screenshot of the frond-end of the page.
2. We understand you but Amelia is used only for booking. Amelia itself doesn't handle the payments, so we don't have legal permissions to store customers' payment details.
But if you want to skip the Cart and to go directly on the checkout you still need to go through the database: database table wp_options -> search for "amelia_settings" in the option_name column. That returns one row, so you need to edit it, and then CTRL+F to find "cart" as shown in the image below. Change "cart" to "checkout", and that's it. After you save it, the cart page will be skipped.
1. I included screenshots in the previous message. It doesn't seem to be any kind of conflict, simply that Amelia is designed in such a way that you have to use a minimum of 3 different colours or you end up with text and background the same in certain areas.
2. I wasn't suggesting that Amelia handle payments or credit card details. Only that they display the tax. This is a simple calculation based on a percentage and doesn't require any payment details to be handled. If VAT is 20% and the base rate is 100€ tax would be 20€. But anyway, I guess we'll just have to live with it for now. Would be a good addition to a future update.
Thank you for your suggestion. Regarding the taxes the best solution that we can offer you is to use a WooCommerce.
It is possible to set different WooCommerce products for different services. By default, all services are connected to one WooCommerce product, but if you create multiple products you will be able to choose a product that will be connected to each service.
Once you enable WooCommerce as a payment method, go to the Services page, open one of the services and you will see a Settings tab. I am still awaiting an answer regarding the very limited styling options.
How do I format the button!?
The woocommerce explanation doesn't help.
The issue is I want to display taxes before getting to that late stage. But forget about it I'll just have to live with it for now until hopefully you upgrade the plugin.
Sorry for the late response. Our team is cut in half due to Covid-19 infections, so our response times are longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!
We need access and/or a page where we can see the button. We can't find CSS without the page. B We want you to know that button-styling will be added at some point in the future but we do not have an ETA.
Simon created his own custom CSS for this, so if he sees this message I hope he'll respond.
We can surely modify the CSS on your page, but for that please open a new private ticket where you can share the booking form's page with us, and send us a couple of screenshots showing us what you want changed.
Hi Amelia Team,
I'm having an issue with the "continue" button on the calendar on the attached page.
The text is the same colour as the background, so it's not visible until hover.
I can't see any options to change the button styles?
Ideally I'd want the text white until hover.
Thanks.

Hi Marko,
Thanks for your reply.
My issue is with the button text.
Please see an attached screenshot which would help explain the issue better than my original message.
I need to make the text visible, currently, it's only visible on hover which isn't ideal.
I also have 2 more unrelated questions that I can't see options for or find answers in the documentation or FAQ.
1: How can you configure taxes? Need to include VAT of 21% and display this somehow.
2: Is it possible to display time in 24hr, not AM/PM?
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Marko,
Sorry to hear that! Things are certainly getting complicated with the new omicron variant.
I already worked out the custom CSS necessary to make the changes, thank you.
I think easier / improved styling options would definitely be a good feature for a future upgrade.
Thanks again for your assistance, have a great (hopefully covid free) Christmas.
Simon
