We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi guys,
I am gradually getting my head around all of the settings and integrations in Amelia. I know most of the roundabouts are due to Google, Microsoft and Zoom, and not your system, so I am happy to plug along a bit at a time.
The issue I have at the moment is that we offer appointments at four locations, two neutral locations (local cafes), the client's office if they are local, or a virtual meeting via video chat for other clients.
I have got Google Maps integrated now into the first two locations and they are good, but how do I set up the locations for the last two? I can't enter a physical location into the Locations tab, because I won't know the actual location of the client's office until they sign up, and the video chat doesn't have a physical location at all?
And is it possible to turn off Google Maps altogether for certain locations, like the video chats?
Thanks,
Terry Chadban
Hello Terry,
Sorry for the late response. Our team is cut in half due to Covid-19 infections, so our response times are longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!
You can create two service categories named "Remote" and "At home" and create services in those categories that would be held on those "locations".
Additionally, you can create a custom field where a customer needs to enter their location if they created an appointment for a service that needs to be held at their office.
Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions.
Kind Regards,
Uros Jovanovic

Hi Uros,
No problems -- I understand that the pesky little virus is affecting some areas more than others! I have followed your instructions, and added the new service categories and a custom field. Now we will see how they work in practice.
I do have another issue, but it may be a bug, and may be user error, so I will start a separate ticket after I have re-read the docs! :-)
Thanks for your help so far, and stay safe!
Terry
