I created an event and in Amelia was unable to choose a PM time. See attached "Amelia event time picker.png".
Also, I created this event and chose two separate dates, Jan 12 and 19th. When going through a test booking, I wasn't able to choose which date I wanted. Is it better to create a recurring event? See attached "Amelia event dates.png"
1. You will not be able to pick a start time that comes after the end time as is shown in the screenshot attached. To resolve this, choose the end time to be at 24:00, then pick a start time of your choice, followed by the end time of your choice.
2. If you have added two dates for the event, it means that when a customer signs up for the event, he will be an attendee for both dates. To avoid this, create a recurring event and customers will be able to sign up for one of the dates that suit them.
Thank you for the prompt response! These both make sense, I appreciate it!
Another issue I encountered is that I set my working hours in settings, but when going to make an appointment, times outside of those hours are available. Did I miss a setting somewhere?
If you created your employees before you configured Global Working Hours, those employees picked up the Company’s working hours which come as default with the plugin (09:00 – 17:00). Employees can have different working hours than those of the company, so to configure availability for your services, you need to configure the working hours of employees assigned to those services. Employees’ working hours override the company’s working hours. To set them up, you need to go to the “Employees” section, select the employee, and configure their schedule from the “Work Hours” tab.
Actually, is there a way to include my physical address in the calendar invite that gets sent? It seems the default is currently Google Meet (see attachment). It would be great if when accepted or downloaded, the location populates in the calendar. Thanks in advance!
Also, I customized the Appointment Follow Up email that was in the list, created a test appointment, and haven't received the email although it's been 24 hours since the appt. Any thoughts?
For background, I tried to create my own to send 2 days after an appointment, not knowing there was one already in there, and spent the last two months trying to get that to work. We added the cron to my host and your support confirmed the cron was working properly so not sure what the issues was. I recently noticed the Appointment Follow Up and disabled the custom one which is not working either.
I also notice I'm not getting the next day reminder email either so something is just not working with the scheduled notifications. I wonder if I should remove the cron from Bluehost now that I am using Amelia templated emails? But that next day email hasn't sent ever, before or after the cron was added.
Sorry for the late response. Our team is cut in half due to Covid-19 infections, so our response times are longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!
At the moment, you can add the URL through the database, but please note that it will come up as HTML:
So, it's a bit ugly, but at least it works.
To do that, you need to access the wp_options table in your database, and in there search for "amelia_settings" in the "option_name" column. It will return one row, so you need to edit it. Look for “ics” and you'll see this:
Thank you Uros! Can you please confirm this solution will add the physical address to the location field? Or will it go into URL section as in the screenshot you provided?
Also, did you see my reply from December 9th about the Appointment Follow Up emails that aren't working? Including below for your convenience.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Thank you for your patience. You can create a cron job to enable the scheduled notifications with Amelia. Please read the explanation below:
A cron job is the scheduled task itself. Cron jobs can be very useful to automate repetitive tasks like in our plugin for notifications.
Depending on the server, there are different configurations for it, which you can contact your hosting provider about, or you can check out one of the solutions for it on this link.
GET 'https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/notifications/scheduled/send' > /dev/null
WP Crontrol plugin is the best option if you're not familiar with cron jobs. You can find more info about it, and detailed instructions on how to set it up in our FAQ section.
So, if you already read that, and still need some clarification here's some further info.
You copy only the URL from below a scheduled notification:
Then, go to Tools/Cron Events, and click on the "Cron Schedules" tab. In it, add a 15-minute interval:
Then go back to the "Cron Events" tab and click on "Add new":
Below it, select the "PHP Cron event" radio button, and add the URL you copied from Amelia/Notifications in this form:
file_get_contents("yourURL");
Below it add the name and set it to run a few minutes in the future, using the provided time format. So, if you're adding the cron event at 12:45 (local, current time), set it to run at 12:50; and then select the schedule you previously selected:
Click on Add Event, and that's it.
The cron runs every 15 minutes and checks if there's an email to be sent. So, in Amelia Notifications, your scheduled notifications are set to run every day at a certain time. If you set that time to be 15:00 (for example), the emails will be sent when the cron runs after that time.
For example, there's an appointment booked for tomorrow, and it's currently 14:44 - the cron runs, but since it's not yet 15:00, it doesn't send anything. It runs again after 15 minutes, so at 14:59, but there are still no emails flagged by Amelia, so it doesn't send anything. Then it runs again at 15:14 and it sees there's an email that should've been sent at 15:00, so it sends the email. It will only send emails when Amelia sees an appointment scheduled for the next day.
Thank you Uros! I received the follow-up email!!! Pretty excited as it's been months trying to figure this out.
Just for your reference, we removed the cron from my server (Bluehost) and added it to WP Crontrol instead. I've learned that adding anything server-side doesn't seem to work as the way my site is set up, all through Wordpress, that I need to keep all updates within the WP CMS.
