I completed to Woocommerce integration because I use Sumup as payment gateway. But once the customer chosen a service + a time slot and clicks on "checkout" it takes him to the woocommerce cart. But then there is no way you can change your mind and delete the service in the cart or "refresh the cart" to pick another service. This is a big issue as the only way to empty the cart is to complete the checkout process and pay !!!! Could you please help, is there a setting I am missing ? Thanks for your help
Hello I am sorry to insist, but I have recommended Amelia Plugin to my client. He is not happy with the cart issue and now requests a refund (and installing another plugin) if I can't fix the issue. Do you think you can help ? Thank you very much !
Sorry for the late response. Our team is cut in half due to Covid-19 infections, so our response times are longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!
This is how the integration with WooCommerce works - and it is only used for payments. So, when a customer books an appointment, Amelia forwards the info they added to WooCommerce. Everything from the cart onward is WooCommerce's except for the data forwarded by Amelia.
They can click on the "Back" button in the browser, and be taken back to the booking page, but there's no way to change the contents of the cart once you're in it.
Actually I managed to "accidentally" fix the issue as I did not get the requested help from Amelia Support team. I created a new "test service" to make payments tests with the client, and for this new service the option to "delete" the service from the cart was miraculously active ! So I had to re-create new products on Woocommerce for all the services and re-connect each of the Amelia services to the newly created Woocommerce corresponding services, and now everything works fine. The mystery remains why it was not possible to delete a service from the cart before !!!! I hope it helps others... By the way the "back button" did not work, there was NO WAY to reset the cart to zero if you booked the wrong service all you could do is pay for it and contact the merchant to request a refund ! Honestly I am not entirely happy with the quality of customer support and features for a plugin costing this price (I got much better support from free plugins so far)! I really regret I recommended Amelia to my client instead of an external booking platform that would have been way easier to set up and offered many more features (like the gift certificates for example). The Woocommerce integration is full of bugs and issues. Not sure I will buy it again for future clients...
Sorry, I first thought you had an issue with adding multiple items to the cart. What you're describing is not the default behavior of Amelia.
I don't know why you faced the issue with the cart, but it's most likely caused during testing. I can't say, but please take a look at the attached screen recording - I can delete the item from the cart without issues. I can understand that you're upset about the plugin not working the way you expected it to work, but as I mentioned in my previous response - everything from the cart onward is WooCommerce's except for the data forwarded by Amelia. It would be extremely stupid (sorry, I can't find a better word) if our developers coded the integration in a way that a customer would need to pay for an appointment and then request a refund if the payment was going through WooCommerce.
We wouldn't have users at all if this was the case. As you can see in the attached screen recording (which was made in the Incognito window, by the way), the integration works fine - when you click on X in the cart, it removes the item from the cart. You can refresh the page as many times as you want, and the cart will remain empty.
The same happens when you click on the "Back" button in the browser. You have some issues on your site, and it's either a conflict with another plugin or misuse of the plugin (you maybe booked an appointment while you were still logged in as the administrator, so the role capabilities were in conflict). I can't say for sure without checking your site, but the integration works correctly.
