Hey there, this website im building there are 4 employees. However, they're only using one Google calendar altogether. How should I configure this or any solution to this? As they would not like to have separate four calendars.

Also, after booking, is it possible to reflect the customer's name and number together with the service as now only reflect the service on Google calendar. The user has mentioned that her Wix calendar-booking function reflects all three on her Google calendar.

    Hello Zoe

You can link all 4 employees with the same Google Calendar. Just go to Amelia/Employees; access each employee's profile, and link the employee to the Google Calendar.

If you enable "Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots" in Amelia settings/Integrations/Google Calendar, once an employee is booked, that time slot will be blocked for the other 3 employees. Also, if you create a busy event in your Google calendar, that time will be blocked in Amelia for all 4 employees.

So, if you want to allow double booking, and event overlapping, this feature should stay disabled.

As for the second question - customer's name and number together with the service - what does that mean actually? You can add the email placeholders to the title, or the description of the Google Calendar event, in Amelia settings/Integrations/Google Calendar, so it says what you want it to say.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Aleksandar,

Thank you for taking the time to understand both questions, the solutions help!

Right now is it possible to double book for one particular employee? or once that employee time slot is taken up, then new customers are unable to book?

As the scenario is the following: Hair Salon in between services will have free time. For instance, Dyeing of hair takes about 30 mins and will need to wait 45 mins before the next step - washing of hair, and the hairstylist will be free during this 45 mins.

Hence, for the above scenario, 1) is it possible to for Amelia to double book or have overlapping services?

Or 2) allow the hairstylist admin to manually shorten the duration on amelia itself without affecting the frontend so as to allow more bookings from new customers? As I noticed that the edit only allows shifting of time.

    Thanks!

    Hey Zoe

Sorry for the late response. Our team is cut in half due to Covid-19 infections, so our response times are longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!

At the moment, it is not possible to include overlapping on an appointment. Your exact example is what we added as a use case for this feature. We have it on our "to-do" list for too long, if you ask me, but when it's mentioned to our developers, they start pulling their hair outsmile.png

Including this feature would require modifying a lot of logic that Amelia currently has, and that's why it's been postponed for almost a year now.

No one can shorten the duration of a booked appointment, and I was never able to find a workaround for this. We will also work on linked appointments, so in the future, customers will be able to choose appointment 1, which is hair dye, and then appointment 2 - washing. In between time should be available for booking due to the nature of this new feature.

However, neither of these two features currently exist, so there's no way this can be achieved with Amelia's current setup.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Kind Regards,

Hey there! thank you for replying Aleksandar.

While we are on this, the package functions currently only allow booking the appointment separately. It will be great if it's able to allow customers to choose from the selected services to book on one date. Noticed it has been voted on the suggestion roadmap, just a general feedback.

Thank you and appreciate your time!

    Hi again Zoe

    I'm afraid I don't quite understand.

If you create a Package, and set the "Maximum bookings required" to the number of appointments provided for the service within the package, the customer can book all appointments included in this package at once.

If you want to make them book everything straight away, you need to set both the "Minimum bookings required" and the "Maximum bookings required" to the same number, so they can't purchase the package until they book all appointments included in the package.
