    Hey guys!

I am now already 11 months a "Basic" user of your software, and also almost 11 months ago I asked here in the forum about the possibility of offering package lessons for my clients (so clients can buy several appointments with me at once, instead having to book every single lesson individually).
You told me it will take some time to integrate that.

Is there some news about it?

I see you have now different price models and the "Pro" and "Developer" model, says "Packages of service". Is that what I need?

If yes, and before I upgrade, I need some more details for this feature:

does this mean I could f.e. offer 5/10 or even 20 (or more) lessons at once, and my students would pay the whole amount for the price of all lessons at once? (That point is important, since I pay for every payment a fix cost rate with paypal and stripe)

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Hi again Phil

Sorry for the late response, we've been swamped with tickets in the past few weeks.

This means that you can create a package that includes only one service, or two, or 5 services - how many you want. You define how many appointments each service has, and how long the package itself will be active from the moment of purchase.

So, for example, you want to allow people to book up to 20 appointments right now, so you create a Package, include one service in that package, and set the number of appointments to 20. If you want to make it mandatory for them to book everything at once, you can set the "Minimum number of bookings" to be 20, or you can make that optional, so the "Minimum number of bookings" is 0, while the Maximum number of bookings is 20.

You can play around with this on our demo site, and see how it works.

Also, please be sure to take a look at our documentation, where you can see the video tutorial as well.

Please check out the documentation and let me know if you have some further questions after reviewing it.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Aleksandar,

from what you tell me and what I tested in the test account, this is accountly what I need!

I am ready to upgrade to the Pro version for 1 year, to have the Packages included (95€) and offer this feature for my clients.

Please let me know how to do so, also considering that my payment should normally renew to the basic subscriuption on 12th December as far as I can see.

If possible I would like to offer and implement packages already now to my customers.

I also tried to update my billing information, as you helped me in the other ticket. I think it was successful. Maybe you can check if my new payment is starting with Paypal "info@languagephil...." then you can just make the payment with it.

    Thank you!

    Hello again Phil

We can upgrade your license to Pro and issue a retroactive 30% refund based on the price you pay for the upgrade (since we've got a Black Friday discount active right now).

You would, however, receive a much bigger discount if you were to purchase the new Pro license directly from our website, and we'd retroactively refund what's left on your account between the day of purchase and December 9th (when your Basic license would renew - around $2.8 if we do that today).

Thats a good timing for me :)

But I dont understand how you count the refund and what do you mean by 2.8€?!

So I am ready to act, but not sure what is better now, could you clarify how much I get refunded when I buy the new Pro version and get refunded for my old version until 9 Dec?

    Aleksandar replied

    Hi again Phil

The price that you would pay for the upgrade would be a pro-rated charge, meaning you won't be paying for the price difference between licenses, since we cannot refund the time spent on the license you currently have.

    ---------------------------

    Example:

You bought a Basic Yearly license, that costs $59 (roughly $0.16 per day).

After 100 days, you want to upgrade to Pro, which costs $109 (roughly $0.3 per day).

Time remaining on Basic (what going to reduce the upgrade price): $42.4 (265 * 0.16)

     Time spent on Basic: $16 (100 * 0.16)

     Time remaining on Pro: $79.5 (265 * 0.3)

So, the price is not Pro - Basic (109-59=50), but instead a pro-rated charge, and you are going to be charged around $79.5 - $42.4 = $37.1.

    ---------------------------

Your subscription renews on the same date (1 year after purchase) and your purchase code remains the same. The 2.8€ is the remainder of funds on a yearly Basic license between November 21st, and December 9th, so that's what would've been refunded if you had purchased the Pro version then. Today, the refunded amount would have been 2.07€ because we're getting closer to the license renewal

At this time, it'd be best to log in to our store, and cancel the license you currently have. Then, go to our pricing page and purchase the license you want.

If you need some further assistance, please feel free to let me know.

    Hey Aleksandar,

thank you! I did as you suggested at the end, and I bought the Pro version. Do I have to install everything new on my wordpress setup or is the Pro version automatically updated?

I had a short look into my WP Amelia setup in wordpress, but couldn't find any upgrades of the Pro version, so I guess I have to do that manually?!

Can you provide me with the easiest and safest way to do so? I don't want to have changed anything, just add the Package Services if possible.

    Thank you!

    Hi Phil

Please download the new installation file from our store then go to Amelia Settings/Activation, and make sure that the "Delete database tables" slider is disabled. Then, go to your Plugins section and deactivate Amelia. If you're using WordPress 5.8+, you'll be able to go to the Plugins section/Add New, and upload the file you previously downloaded.

When you upload the file, WordPress will inform you that you're replacing the plugin with the same version (which is OK, since you're upgrading the license), so just confirm that. After the plugin is installed, activate it, and make sure to purge all cache from your website.

Your purchase code remains the same, all you need to do is verify that your purchase code is added to Amelia Settings/Activation, so you're able to receive auto-updates in the future.

I hope this helps, do let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Ciao Blaženka!

Thanks for your help. Everything seemed to work until the point with purging my cache. I am not an IT/tech guy, and I am not sure if you meant just deleting my cache files/images from my browser?

Or do I need to install a plugin on my wordpress which deletes the cache from wordpress?

Also I couldn't understand what I have to do with the purchasing code after activating the new Pro version. WHen I go to Settings --> Activation .. I see only the information:                  "Your purchase code has been hidden for security reasons. You can find it on your store page store.tms-plugins.com "

below that is the option to "Delete plugin tables" and "Load Entities on page load" which are both disabled.

Maybe you could give me more information on how to clear cache (or confirm if browser clearing of cache is enough) and if there is something else to do.

Beside that, the Pro version seems already to work for me! (Package services appeared in the Services pages)

And to add up from my previous message:

I tried to create packages and it worked quite well.

I have some questions though about the appearance:

My services always had a customization. I added some information such as my FAQ, data privacy and so on when customers purchased a service. This shows up on my website right before making the purchase.

Now I created seperate packages for each of my services (so I can offer for each lesson type, a 5 lesson package). When customers want to purchase a package this customization information of the services also shows up.

BUT now when I want to purchase a single service (as before) this customization magically disappeared?! I neither added nor deleted something but it is funny that it appears on the new packages but it disappears from the services, where it always was.

Maybe you can help me on that also?

    Hello Phil

As for clearing cache on the browser, the procedure is different for different browsers, so please check out this thread.

Purging the cache from the website itself is done with a caching plugin, like "W3 Total Cache", or "LiteSpeed Cache", etc. They all work fine, so you can choose which one you like.

As for the additional data - I can't say exactly why you can't see them in Services when they apply perfectly to packages.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Hey Phil

We found what's causing this. It's custom CSS applied to the page:

When this is disabled, the custom fields appear.

What does this do? Did we tell you to add this CSS?

    Hi Aleksandar!

Well I was not adding code myself as far as I know. I am not a coder myself, so I really have a hard time understanding this.

I can create an Admin account for you so you get access to my site.
