Can you please explain a bit further what you mean by importing a CSV from Excel? You can import a CSV file or an Excel file but you cannot convert files with wpDataTables. You can import a CSV file and then use our export tools to export that table in a different format if that would help.
You can add custom CSS into each table from the Customize tab
