Most of the translation for the project I am doing is handled through WPML.
I need to translate a word ("Cancel") in two different ways depending on the meaning (welcome to german language). In particular, I need it to be different in the customer panel where a customer can delete an appointment to the normal booking form where you can abort the booking.
Ho can I achieve this?
I've disabled the translation for this particular string in WPML to see if Amelia's own translations would take care of this nuance, but they do not.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately, something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.
This will be possible once we include the Panels in our Customize section, but at the moment it can't be done. Those two buttons pull the same "cancel" string from the translation, and it can't yet be separated.
I hope the panels will be included in a couple of months, but I can't guarantee that, unfortunately.
any update on this? This is really important for the usability of the german translation. People wont understand that they can cancel an appointment with the same word, cause the meaning in Germany is different.
Our developers are working on a major update for Amelia. It should include the ability to change the labels of every button in the booking form, along with other strings.
I am 99% sure it will be included in the initial release, but if it's not I'll make sure to remind our developers that it has to go in the next one. Just keep an eye on our changelog and if you don't see it there, feel free to respond to this ticket.

Hello Philipp
I'm sorry, but our developers still haven't completed working on the Panels for the Customize section.
They are working on it, along with some other things, so it needs to be tested for all use cases before it's released. I'm sorry for the delay.
Kind Regards,

I am also very interested in this update as it is a major drawback in the current translation.
Currently you need a how-to section for your customers describing how to cancel an appointment!

Markus
Thank you for your feedback, Markus, we'll add it as a vote for our developers.
They develop features based on the number of customer requests, so the higher number of votes, sooner will it be developed.

Hello Aleksandar,
any news on this? It is such a small but important feature for us german people.
Thank you!

Philipp
