    Dear Amelia,

    last week I purchased your amazing plugin. Currently, i'm filling in the events, but when I quickly want to look up certain events, I always need to enter a specific date range first, which makes it less user-friendly than it could be, to be honest! Could you make it possible that all dates are displayed in general, or create a button so it will be a 1-click effort?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Robin

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Can you please tell us if you have updated the plugin to its latest version?

    We have added a feature that there is a one year range preselected to make it easier to browse through your events.

    I hope this helps, do let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Hi Blazenka, Thank you for your reply! I'm happy to hear that you've made additions to the range that is preselected. It might be awesome to have separate buttons to show all activities within the next Month, 3 Months and Year for example.

    I seem to have the most recent version of the plugin installed. (version 4.3), do I need to manually reïnstall the plugin? will it keep all my data, services and employee information?

    Then I have another question:
    I would love to rent rooms that we have in our company. It seems that only I can decide the duration of the booking, and the customer has to choose. Is there a way to let customers manually choose the duration of their appointment?

    For example:

    • We have flex-workspaces that customers can book. They need to be able to manually choose how long they would like to rent the room. maybe 1 costumer wants to work 1 hour, the other one needs to work 5 hours.
    • Another function I need: We also have rooms that can be ordered a part of the day (from 8:00 to 13:00 / from 13:00 to 18:00) or the entire day (from 8:00 to 18:00)

    Can you tell me if that's possible? Or if it's possible to add this function?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Robin

    No need to manually reinstall the plugin just make sure to clear you website and browser cache.

    Our plugin currently support time slot booking during one day, so if it is just renting of co-working space for a couple of hours a day, then it is possible to use our plugin for this. If, however you need multi-days booking then you should check out our new feature Events.

    You can either create rooms where services are and create employee for each room (different one, so they can be bookable at the same time) and hide the employee selection with a simple CSS (we will explain later on ) or you can create each room as separate employee and create just one service to attach to each room. Just so you know each employee needs to have email, so if you don't need a separate email for each you can create with Gmail or outlook the same email with +number, and they will be seen as a different one (a would later explain you this in more details, but you should know that you need to use Gmail or Outlook).

    If your employee email address is [email protected] you can make more employees with same email adding numbers like [email protected],[email protected]... )

    And then you can use ameliabooking shortcode and on front-end you can hide with CSS  dropdawn with Employees.

    You can use this CSS rule on the page between style tags where you will hide Employee dropdawn:

    <style>
    .am-select-employee-option {    display: none;
    }
    </style>

    If you create just one employee and rooms as services, that means that rooms will not be bookable at the same time, since there is just one employee that is working (one employee/rooms one working hours - multiple employees/rooms multiple working hours). That is the reason why I offer you two other workarounds: rooms as services but with several employees hidden from the front-end, or rooms as employees with one service.

    Dear Blazenka,

    Many thanks for your quick reply! I really appreciate the help.

    I managed to use the number trick to create multiple employees with 1 mail-adress. This greatly helps with adding the rooms that can be booked. I do however still run into some problems, hopefully, you can help me with this or add this function, as I think many users will greatly benefit from this function:

    Updated Amelia- no preselected event date
    Unfortunately after clearing the site cache + browser cache and updating the plugin to version 4.3.1, I don't see any preselected dates on the events. I'm not able to use this feature yet, unfortunately..

    Booking rooms
    Now people can book rooms seperately, but there are some conditions that I need in order to make the booking effortlessly for our customers, here's an explanation:

    Right now, for one of our rooms, I've set up the work schedules from 8:00 to 13:00 and 13:00 to 18:00. Currently, people can book one of those timeslots. However, I would like them to have the option to book the entire day as well! (8:00 to 18:00). So the following should be possible for the room:

    option 1- rent from 08:00 to 13:00
    option 2- rent from 13:00 to 18:00
    option 3- rent from 08:00 to 18:00

    Also, I've added a work schedule in 1 room so that people can book a room (1 of 6 places) for 1 hour. However, I want my customer to decide how long they would like to book the room, maybe he wants to rent for 2 hours, maybe 4, he should be able to select the beginning and end-time of his booking.

    Finally, We have a conference room that can be separated into two separate areas (Part A, Part B, or Part A+B). Customers need to be able to book:

    option 1 - rent Part A
    option 2 - rent Part B
    option 3 - rent Part A + B (for a discounted price)

    Currently, I made 3 separate employees and services to make this possible. However, there are some issues with this method that I need a workaround for:

    - When booking option 1, option 3 is not possible for that timeframe
    - When booking option 2, option 3 is not possible for that timeframe
    - When booking option 3, option 1 and 2 are not possible for that timeframe

    I hope this will help you with continuing to improve your plugins and that you are able to add these functions to Amelia, it is already an awesome plugin, these improvements would make it perfect for our company!

    Many thanks in advance,

    Robin

    Hi Robin

    My sincere apologies, this feature is on the roadmap still it has not yet been released but I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page since features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

    Each service must have a pre-selected duration but what I can offer as a workaround is using Extras feature and give your clients an option to extend the service duration

    Please have a look at our documentation for more detailed information about this feature
