The updated program is not automatically updating and I’m not sure how to manually do the update what I’ve read online it says to delete the Amelia I have now and then reinstall the updated version my question is will I lose my information on the Amelia that’s on my computer now and will I have to redo all the services
Hello there.
Thanks for reaching out to us.
If you have Amelia's purchase code active in Settings/Activation, the update should be easily handled through the Plugins section. In some WordPress instances, you need to first disable the plugin before you can click on "Update now", so please try that.
If that fails, please go to Dashboard/Updates, and see if you can update the plugin from there.
If that fails as well, you can update the plugin manually, without being worried about your data. First, log into our store, and download the plugin (you're always downloading the latest version).
After that, go to Amelia Settings/Activation and make sure that the "Delete database tables" slider is disabled. If you're on WP 5.8+, you can go to the Plugins section, disable Amelia, and then click on Add New, and upload the previously downloaded .zip file.
WordPress will then inform you that you're replacing one version with another, so you need to agree with that, and that's it. You won't lose your data since "Delete database tables" is disabled, but when you activate the plugin, make sure to purge all cache from your website.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
