Is Amelia capable of sending automated emails when a customer signs up? Last time I used your program, the automated email function did not work at all.
thank you for reaching out to us, and for taking interest in Amelia
Yes, email notifications can be set up to be automatically sent after booking; issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
1. Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings, and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings. 2. Your website has PHP version less than 7 3. The credentials are not correct 4. There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent. 5. If you're using Gmail, please make sure "Allow less secure apps" is enabled.
Please let us know if you use Amelia and run into these issues again.
Thanks Ivana. I tried it now and followed the instructions for SMTP settings. Still I can't get the automated emails / notifications to work despite following the video instructions. I also allowed less secure apps on my email. Below are the notification settings.
The scheduling works in my calendar but still there is no email notification.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
We cannot test Amelia on your site since you have WordPress 5.8.2, and Amelia 1.4.4 (which was released in March 2019). This is an extremely outdated version of the plugin, and we don't provide support for it. Old versions of the plugin should only be used for testing purposes.
You can test the full version of the plugin (the latest version) on our demo sites, and see how it works. If the notifications are configured properly, there's no reason why they wouldn't work.
Sorry for the late response. Our team is cut in half due to Covid-19 infections, so our response times are longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!
1. If you have canceled your subscription, we can't re-subscribe you, but you'll need to purchase the plugin again. Please note that we currently have a Black Friday sale, so all our licenses are 30% off.
2. Yes, of course - our websites are set to auto-update WordPress, and the plugin is compatible with it.

Hi Joshua!
Thank you for the kind reply
Can I troubleshoot directly, then?

Hi Aleksandar,
Thanks so much for your reply. You are right, I have the old version of Amelia from 2019. I have a couple of questions:
1. Do I have to repurchase the newer version of Amelia, or can I get an upgrade / discount since I purchased it in March 2019?
2. I think WordPress 5.8.2 was the latest version of WordPress released on Nov 10, 2021. Will it work with the new Amelia plugin?
Regards,
Josh
