Thank you for being so understanding, and we hope you enjoy the long weekend!
The Master-Detail plugin works by posting data to a WP page. The link stays the same. This is the normal way.
I would link to ask, how could it be achieved to have a permanent link for every product, so customers can access it directly without going over the wpdatatable?
Hi Miroslav
Thank you for reaching out to us.
You can create a Master-Detail page or post, and configure the add-on to open that page on a row click. It cannot, however, make the entire row behave like a hyperlink leading to another (custom) URL.
Dear Blaženka,
I know, that it is not possible to point a row to custom URL. My question was another.
How would it be possible to have a permanent link of Master-Detail for every product?
Example:
Now all my Master-Details open on https://wp.ocnekvapky.sk/?page_id=628
All the data is transferred via POST after clicking on "See more" in the table.
I would like to achieve, that a product page can be loaded even without the need to click in the table and POST. For example:
https://wp.ocnekvapky.sk/?page_id=628&PRODUCT_ID=123
This link can be visited directly and the data for product 123 is loaded.
How to make this?
Thank you
Hi Miroslav
Unfortunately, what you're looking for to achieve is not possible. If you visit this custom page directly, placeholders will be replaced with empty strings, so data will be populated only when you access this page from our table by clicking on Row or Button depending on your configuration. It's not possible to have a permanent link to a value in the table. Our developers already have this as a task, though, so it should become available at some point in the future.
Thank you Blaženka.
So I vote for this feature. Please send my thumb up to your developers :-)
I'd love to have this feature as well!
Thank you for your vote, Kyra.
We will forward it to our developers again, but I just wanted to update everyone by saying that this is already in our developers' queue, so it should be implemented in the future.
I don't have an ETA on it yet, but it is something we will be working on.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
