Customers alone can add appointments to their calendar if you want to add to their calendar that is not possible. You can offer two solutions to your customers but you need to enable them first.

In general settings enable Show Add To Calendar option to customers and Send ics file in the notifications. for the first option, once they book an appointment, at the last "Congratulations" screen, they'll see the "Add to calendar" option, and for the second they will get an email with a link that they will need to click on to add it to their calendar.
