Wpdatatables started showing a never ending circle when opening a table (all tables acted the same). I deactivated & reactivated but that did not solve the problem. I then deleted the plugin & reinstalled it. Here is the error I get when trying to create a table:
I have been trying to use a filter or an action within functions.php & apparently wpdatatables did not like one of them. I deleted all of them & the tables work correctly. I added them back in until I found the troublesome one.
