We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

    Hello,

Please can you tell me how to set focus on the first input field when the modal opens? For example if you click on the new entry button at the front end (editing).

I searched everywhere and can not find any solution.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Gordon

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Can you please explain a bit more what you mean by `set focus`? You can make it a mandatory field so the client will have to fill it in to submit a new row, would that work for you?

You can use Conditional formatting or custom CSS to play around with the style but I'm afraid provided support does not include writing custom solutions.

What i mean is when you click on a input field you see the cursor blinking in that input field.

I want this to happen in the first input field when the modal opens. I know there's a jquery command for it but i dont get it to work.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Gordon

Unfortunately this cannot be achieved using the plugin's builtin features and the provided support doesn't cover custom coding, so we wouldn't be able to assist you much there I'm afraid.

But I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page.

Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
