I used the an elemento Block to add the wpDataTable plugin. The table is very wide and overflows under the sidebar (image01). I have a few questions:
1) do I have to act on the Elementor Block property to block the overflow or do I have some built-in property to set in wpDataTable? I KNOW... I'M NO EXPERT! :(
2) do I have any control (built-in settings for the wpDataTable) on the size of the cells/columns: I have a lot of text in the cells and they get extremely long. (image 01)?
This should not be happening, the table should fit in the container size. You can enable Limit table width and see if there will be any changes.
but issues like this usually occur when there is a conflict either with the theme currently active on your website, or another plugin you have installed.
Can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved? If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be). If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred. Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.

Solved! See Images attached for table display settings and the result.
- table view settings;
- table view - frontend.
As a matter of fact I also uninstalled all the themes and just left the minimal Hello Elementor Theme.
Then I moved back to Astra and everything was fine too. So, I think the the problem was due to my inappropriate settings in the table Display Pane.
All fine, thanks again Blaženka.
You are most welcome, I am glad to hear you managed to solve the problem
