Hello,
I have a functioning event website but would like to customize somethings with Amelia Booking but maybe i can do them already?.
www.powerenglish.cl is an online ESL Academy
We use Amelia booking for students to book english classes. Usually they purchase packages for classes (events).
For example:
Jane doe purchases 36 recurring classes (events) and they have up to 4 months to take them.
Sometimes the students have to reschedule a certain class and I need my teacher (employee) to be able to change that class out of the 36 class.
Deeper example:
Jane - Customer
Robert - Employee
Jane purchased 36 classes and has them every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am - 9 am.
In class number 15, Jane has a dr's appointment she can't miss so she asks to reschedule the class.
Robert changes it.
If she cancels 1 hour before, Roberto can cancel it and make it count as a done class since it's part of the terms and services.
I use buddyboss and memberpress to manage my membership website.
is this something that i could do with Amelia?
Hi Raul,
thank you for reaching out to us
This can be done by using Services, as recurring booking of multiple dates at once (by setting them as Recurring or even using Packages), is not available with events (in Amelia Events each event, even recurring one, is booked separatelly.
In Recurring bookings and Package bookings, individual appointments can be rescheduled.
Ok thanks, but the classes are 2 times a week and sometimes 3 times a week. How can i book people like this?
For example:
A person purchases 48 classes. They decide them to be 2 times a week on Monday and Friday from 9 am - 10:30 am.
Would i need to create a service for 24 classes and set them to be on Monday 9 am - 10:30 am
another service for 24 classes and set them to be on Friday to be from 9 am - 10:30 am?
Hi Raul!
Yes, you can condition the days picked if you set your employee to perform the offered class on those specific dates and times only. This can be done via regular schedule (weekly) in Amelia > Employees > that employee > Work Hours.
ok so to double check.
for a package of 48 classes.
I would need to create a service for 24 classes and set them to be on Monday 9 am - 10:30 am
another service for 24 classes and set them to be on Friday to be from 9 am - 10:30 am?
is this correct?
Hi Raul,
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Yes, you would need one service, that would be performed by that employee on Mondays 9 am - 10:30 am (just delete the other days of the week in the Work Hours, or set a Special Day), and create a package of 48 classes; repeat with the second one, just for Friday.
The thing is that same teacher has other classes in other days. So someone buys the packages and wants tuesday and thursday from 9 am - 10:30 and another person buys the same package for that teacher, they wouldn't be able to get Mondays and Wednesday from 12 - 1:30pm
Hi Raul!
Thank you for the kind reply
If you accept multiple bookings from students for the same time, same class, you can optionally increase the capacity of the class. However, as it's the same employee, you may need another "fictional" employee to cover the other service if it overlaps.
