I am having trouble with Amelia displaying text on the screen.
Some of the text boxes provided for Text labels appear to be insufficient for
the font size provided. See in attached screen shot. The fonts are cut
off at the top and bottom.
Also
if the descriptions run on to two lines the line height does not appear to be
enough. The Text is too bunched together.
I have tried all the available
fonts provided.
I
have tried various pages within the word press theme and checked with a page
with no other elements at all on it in case there were conflicts with
background images, colours or other objects.
I am using a DIVI theme which seems to be supported by Amelia it loads the modules into the Theme Builder without any problems.
PS
I
think Amelia is going to be great ... just a few teething problems getting to
know how it works. Thanks for your efforts.
Can you please tell us have you added any custom CSS?
Issues like this usually occur when there is a conflict either with the theme currently active on your website, or another plugin you have installed. Amelia should be compatible with Divi but just to rule this out can you please change the theme and see if the issue is resolved? If not, then please deactivate all other plugins except for our plugin, refresh the page where the issue is, and see if it is resolved (it should be). If it is, then start activating other plugins one by one, and after each activation refresh the page to see if the issue reoccurred. Once it does reoccur, you will have found the plugin causing the issue.
I tried the theme in Twenty Twenty and the text issues seem to go away.
I only have 2 plugin's installed in my DIVI theme: Amelia and a ZOHO smtp mail plugin.
I had a few snippets of CSS in my theme - mainly for handling some responsive display issues when using phone screen sizes.
I have removed all the snippets from the main theme options pages and checked that there was no CSS in any of the Theme Builder Global templates: 1 X global header, 1 X global footer and 5 X Custom Bodies. aS far as I can see there is none in any of the theme elements/modules.
The text issues in Amelia remain (in my DIVI theme).
The page that I have Amelia on is free of any CSS as well.
A couple of pages I am experimenting with some responsive Typology tutorials but not sure if that could affect Amelia or not.
Unfortunately, until we finally fix the issues we're having with Divi for good, you'll need to use the same workaround as we offered to our clients before - changing the theme on pages where you add Amelia forms, since Divi is programmatically copying our styles.
Integrating a plugin with a theme is continuous work, and there's no telling when a conflict is going to come up. We do have some issues with the builder, and the theme, but our developers are working on it!
