    hi,

i changed my SMTP to Gmail´s (smtp.gmail.com) with 25 port and my email from gmail [email protected], and the notifications are not working now.

my host is not blocking third parties SMTP because i was using another one, also i enable the "Less Secure Apps" from my gmail, i already check my password and finally i have tryed with 465 port with SSL and 587 with TLS but still not working.

May you help me to find the reason please?

    Thank you

    Hi, Andres,

    Thank you for choosing Amelia.

Please note that the Gmail service can be used for email notifications in Amelia only if the 2FA is disabled in its settings (just in case).

Could you please change the mail service in Amelia -> Settings -> Notifications to PHP and test notifications with that configuration? If that works, then it means that notifications are being triggered by Amelia and most probably the issue is coming from the hosting provider end.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

thank you, i think it is working now, but i have a new problem, the student is receiving the invite.ics , but the confirmation, reschedule or cancelation notifications not.

On the other hand the employees aren´t receiving the notifications neither.

hi, i want to update my last reply:

Customer: Is not receiving the notifications but he is receiving the invitation.ics (i already checked if the notifications were at spam but they aren´t) (using hotmail)

Employee: is receiving notifications at spam, and the calendar are getting updated with the booking. (using gmail)

Additionally, i already have SPF, DKIM, and DMARC txt registers on my DNS.

    Hi Andres,

    thank you for the update!

Usually, when Amelia notifications aren't working, none of them are; so I would like to test this in real time.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Hi, Andres,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of factors that can affect email notifications so they will end up in the Spam folder. And most of them are not related to Amelia, therefore we cannot really do anything about that on our end.

However, we can recommend you to check this link, maybe it will give you some ideas on what can be changed in order to prevent emails from being sorted as spam: https://coherentpath.com/rarelogic/blog/how-to-prevent-emails-from-going-to-spam/

Looking forward to hearing from you.
