Stripe API Key - Multiple Venues

    Hi,

I have two venues on my website, both are using the same Stripe API key for payment. The issue with this is I cannot tell which payments are for which venue. Is there a way I can setup Amelia so I can have one API key for each venue? Would installing another instance of Amelia enable me to do this?

Otherwise can you think of another way I can achieve the goal of seeing which payments belong to which venue?

    Thanks

    Good day!

    Thank you for choosing Amelia.

As far as I understand, by venues you mean Locations in Amelia?

If so, then you can add the %location_name% placeholder to the payment MetaData or Description, for example:

    Hope that will help.

    Best Regards.

Hi, can this be applied to events? where does this display on stripe too? Id like to filter reports by location if possible

    Thanks

    Apple Tree,

Yes, that should work for Events as well. You will just have to add the MetaData and Description under the Events tab.

    Best Regards.

Sorry I dont see the add new meta data option under events, can you confirm which version of Amelia has this?

    Good day!

Oh, then, I'm afraid, version 2.9 is pretty outdated and might not have an option to add MetaData and Payment Description.

Could you please update the plugin to the most recent version 4.2? If you activated Amelia with the purchase code in Amelia -> Settings -> Activation, then the update should be available on the WP Plugins page. If it's not available for some reason, then we can provide you with a guide on how to update the plugin manually.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I didnt face any issues so to speak - but ive made a few changes to the front end wording, like for an event the default is "open" or "closed" - I have changed to "available" "not available". I find its easier for my customers to understand. Ive also changed "number of persons" to "number of children" as my business is a childs cafe - and many more changes. If I upgrade, will all of these changes be reset?

Hi, I just tried updating the version of Amelia via the "installed plugin" screen on WordPress, and selecting "update now". The error I get is:

"Update failed: The plugin is at the latest version." My version shows as 2.9. Could you assist. SCreenshot attached.

    Good day!

It can be that there's something that blocks Amelia updates.

If you activated Amelia with the purchase code, and the update option is still not available on the WP Plugins page, it can be resolved with one of the following options:

    • Probably, the reason is that the WordPress configuration doesn't allow updating active plugins, so the first step is to deactivate Amelia and see if it updates.
    • You can try updating from Dashboard/Updates. That's done in maintenance mode, so there's little chance that it will fail.
    • If that also doesn’t work, in most cases, the purchase code is saved either with a space or some additional character in the database, so the API call that checks your purchase code doesn't return a "Success" message, and it fails. In this case, you can update Amelia manually through FTP. Please see how that can be done below:

First, please check that the option Delete plugin tables is disabled in Amelia -> Settings -> Activation before upgrading the plugin ( it is disabled by default, but just in case).

    1) Download the zip from our store

    2) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins

    3) Delete existing ameliabooking folder

    4) Upload previously downloaded ameliabooking folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)

    5) Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section

    6) Deactivate Amelia Plugin, and then activate it again

    7) Clear site and browser cache

Looking forward to hearing from you
