We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Let's say you offer classes from 8h AM until 5 PM. Is is possible for the customer to suggest a time slot?
In this case, this would be an option and the company should set if they accept or not suggestions from customers.
Is this possible?
Hi Leonardo
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Each service needs to have a time slot a client can choose during booking, so it is not possible just to book an appointment and ask for an available time, but there might be a workaround I can suggest.
For this scenario I would suggest using Custom fields and setting your appointments as Pending by default, so once your customer books an appointment they will have a custom field they need to fill in to suggest an appointment time and you will be able to reschedule it and approve/reject it manually from the backend if needed. You can set a maximum capacity for a service so all time slots will remain available for booking but you would be the one approving the appointments individually.
If you want to allow multiple clients booking the same time slot this can be achieved by increasing the service's maximum capacity
and enabling Allow booking below minimum capacity from Amelia-Settings-Appointments
I hope this helps, do let us know if you need any further assistance.
This is something that could be done with a link below and to a different page
'Didn't find the right time for you? Please leave us a message and we'll try to make this work.'
Then, a suggestion is to have a toggle option to add this. for example
'Toggle this if you want to display an 'alternative form' so your customer can contact you'
Could be a way to detect possible issues as well. What do you think?
Hi, Leonardo,
Sorry for the delayed response.
As my colleague Blazenka mentioned, you can collect this information through Custom Fields. It won't be possible to redirect your Customers to another page for that or to open another booking form (at least not with the current Amelia built-in features).
If you set the default Appointment status to "Pending" and add two Custom fields to the booking form, for example:
Custom field #1: Do you want to suggest a different time? Answer: Y/N
Custom field #2: What time is suitable for you? Answer:____
And then you can add Extras to this Service and hide them for Customers on the front-end on the Customize page. By selecting these extras on the back-end, you will be able to make the Service duration longer.
Also, after that, you will be able to approve the Appointment manually.
Hope that will help.
Best Regards.
