Could you help me with creating events and placing them on the calendar please? Or if creating appointments is more suitable for what we need.
Our business offers birthday party bookings for a 2 hour time slot on each Saturday and Sunday of the month. A different customer would be booking for each party time slot and booking just one party.
When I created an event and added dates to the event, it showed the booking as it being booked for every date I had input. It didn't let the customer choose a specific date.
When I duplicated the event, it didn't show up on the calendar as an option to choose that date.
How is it best to put a birthday party on the calendar for each Saturday and Sunday? Do they have to be created as a separate event?
If it is created as recurring event, can dates be booked individually?
How do the custom fields get added to the specific event? We were able to add some questions to one event. I can't seem to manage to add my questions to the birthday party event.
Do customers get send a notification once they book an event or appointment via email?
If you create an event with multiple dates and/or times, that will still be treated as a single event that's happening multiple times. What you need to do is create one event per time period in a day. If the same time will be repeated every week, you can set it as a recurring event, and each recurrence will be a separate booking.
Custom fields should be created after you create all your events. Then, you need to assign a custom field to an event - they can be assigned only to some, or to all events.
Notification settings need to be configured before you can send email notifications, but once you do that your customers and your employees can receive notifications about the booked event.
Amelia doesn't have any refund options, and if the payment is made online, you'd need to issue a refund through the payment engine you used (PayPal, Stripe, Mollie or WooCommerce).

Thank you very much,
