I'm looking for the best way to link the booking system to an email marketing system. A system where all the existing contacts from a client base in an excel sheet and email addresses from a MailChimp account can be imported and linked to WPAmelia. My client only sends out 2 emails per year so MailChimp is not interesting since she has well over 2500 contacts.
Could you please clarify how you want it to work? Do you only want to export Customers' email addresses from Amelia to the mail plugin, or there should be something else?
Step 1: The client base in the email marketing system should keep all the contact details from the existing lists in excel and MailChimp.
Most important at the moment is an email system with unlimited contacts that can be linked to WPAmelia. People book an appointment and can meanwhile optin to the newsletter/mailing list segment. Same principle as in WooCommerce checkout.
Step 2: The email marketing system also stores the orders & past appointments etc.
Sorry for the delayed response, our support team is cut in half due to COVID-19 infestations. That’s why our response time has increased.
The thing is, it's not possible to import data to Amelia at the moment, only to export it from Amelia to a CVS file.
Probably something similar can be achieved with webhooks.
A webhook in Amelia for Appointments can be created for each one of these actions: booking completed, booking canceled, booking rescheduled and booking status changed. So when you create a webhook for one of these actions, the hook will be triggered for each appointment booked, canceled, etc. depending on the action and data will be sent from Amelia via a hook to Zapier/or any other automation tool you integrate to Amelia using this. You can find more information about webhooks here.
