How to find the ID of a service in Amelia

    Hi,

Sorry I'm sure this is a bit of a silly question - but how can I find the ID of a particular service or category? I need the ID to put into a shortcode for the front end booking to show a particular service only.

Is there a way to see the ID of a service?

    Thank you :)

    Hi Jessie!

Thank you for reaching out; please don't worry it's not silly at all (the letters are a bit opaque so it can be missed):

Go to Amelia > Services, and next to the name of your service there will be an ID in lighter letters:

In this case, ID of the first one is 8, so it would fit into the shortcode like this:

    [ameliabooking service=8]

    Thanks Ivana :)

I'm not sure why, but in my version it does not show the opaque lettering showing the Service ID number.

I have checked and I am using Amelia version 2.1 (I am not sure whether there is an update that would change this, but if there is I cannot see it available to update).

I have managed to figure this out by trying a whole bunch of different Service ID numbers in this case to find which one was the correct one.

    Kind Regards,

    Jessie

    Jessie,

Let me check with my team first. There should be no issue but since I joined the team when this option was already added, I better ask our developers to make sure.

Also, could you please check if the plugin was activated on the Activation page?

I will get back to you once I receive a response from my colleague (it might take some time).

    Best Regards.

    Hi Liza,

I can't remember how the Amelia plugin was originally activated as it was a few years ago now that I purchased Amelia.

I'm assuming based on the screenshot I sent you below that it was, because you can see the purchase code on the Activation page.

Either way, no worries, I will wait to hear back from you. No rush :)

    Kind Regards,

    Jessie

    Jessie,

I'm sorry, I suddenly went blind yesterday and didn't notice the activated purchase code in the screenshot.

I will be back to you by the end of the day or tomorrow.

    Best Regards.
