We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

    Dear amelia team,

We are currently specifying a booking feature for a wordpress site, in wich the user should be able to book football field (s) for a period of time. The fields (state: available or booked) should then appear in a weekly calendar view like in the attached graphic.

My question is if it is possible to achieve such a design / functionality with the ameila plugin.

Thank you for your response :)

    Hi, Valentin,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Basically, Amelia was created as a plugin for booking Appointments. Therefore, there are no built-in features for the rental business. But there are some workarounds.

In your case, each boat has to be a booking Service in Amelia.

I should mention first that a  Service can last only up to 23h 30min. So if you want to let longer rental time, you'll have to use Events.

I believe you can achieve that by creating Separate Services for each of your fields.

Our plugin needs at least one Employee connected with a Service.

In Amelia, in order to make Services aka fields available simultaneously, they have to be assigned to different Employees (not necessarily the real ones, fictional ones will do the trick as well).  And each Employee needs to have a unique email address. This can be solved if you plan to use Gmail by adding +number before @ for the same email address (like [email protected], [email protected], etc.) and then you will be able to create "different" email addresses but all emails will go to the same email address.

On the front-end, the selection of Employees can be hidden, so your customers won't have to choose them while booking.

Also, it is possible to see bookings in a Calendar of the back-end: https://wpamelia.com/admin-calendar/

    Hope that will help.

    Best Regards.
