One of our clients want to make ik possible for people to book yoga classes through the website. The Amelia-plugin seems to cover most of the specs we're looking for, but one thing is still not completely clear to us.
Our client want to create multiple sets of classes (packages), each covering a number of weeks. For instance: a set covers monday 30th of august until 24th of october (8 weeks). People then can remove some classes within this period in case they're not able to attend the class, meaning they may only be able to attend the class for 6 out of 8 weeks.
As far as I've found in the documentation, you can set a minimum and maximum amount of classes that must be booked from the start, the remaining classes that still can be booked could be booked later but people still pay for 8 classes. In our case, we would need to change the package price so they only pay for the 6 classes they would attend, not the other 2 classes they ruled out.
Is this possible with Amelia or is there a way to work around this? We would like to prevent people from booking separate classes, it should only be possible to book classes through the packages.
It is possible to show only packages on the site in order to have the customers book only those, and hide single appointments fully.
However, customer buys all of the appointments in the package, so if they cancel some of them, refund is not automatic (as Amelia does not save their information for payment), and it needs to be made manually by the admin, in the account of your online payment method. The price of the package that has already been purchased can't be edited.
For the dates, when client purchases a package, they can book any date and time when the service is available, so if you need to allow them to book only certain time in advance, you can adjust this in settings by changing how far in the future client can book from the moment of first booking.
Thanks for the explanation. I'm trying to figure out if there is another way to achieve what we need with Amelia, is it possible to limit the amount of times a recurring event can be booked? Maybe this way I can give the people the opportunity to book multiple classes at the same time without using a package.
If this is not possible, I'm afraid I have to look for another tool to make it work like our client needs.
you can always limit how far in the future customer can book (eg. 1 week, 3 weeks), so they wouldn't be able to book the recurrences too far in advance.

Hi Thessa,
