We are using Amelia for booking airport shuttles. We have 3 employees and 2 categories of 14 services each. We have 3 employees. Every employee is set up to be available on all services in all categories.
We do not want the user have to manually select an available employee. We want Amelia to automatically select the next available employee.
Here is an example:
Employee 1 has an appointment from 2-3 pm
The next user that tries to book an appointment for the same time 2-3 pm should still be able to book an appointment. Amelia should just pick one of the other 2 available employees. When no employees are available for the time 2-3 pm, then this time slot should no longer be available for any of the services, because all employees are booked for this time slot.
It seems that this is not working for us. It seems that what Amelia is doing is once a user books a time slot, this time slot is no longer available to any of the other employees. It does not automatically select the next available employee.
Another question I have is: if Amelia can automatically select any of the available employees, how does Amelia select the employees? In what order are they automatically selected?
If Amelia can't select an employee based on availability automatically, please let me know, and we will have to let the user select an employee.
Exactly - choosing Any Employee will cause Amelia to look for the first available employee and show the schedule accordingly to make sure that there are no overbookings for the employee who already has some slots booked.

So I think I figured this out. It has to do with the setting "any employee" and letting the user select employees in the form.
