Because sometimes I need to have time for personnal tasks, I would like to be able to manually make a period unavaible for booking in the backend of Amelia. Example: I have a phone call next monday to schedule. So I need to free time for it in the planning. The employee (me) needs to be unavaible during the period.
Days off setting could be a way but I can't choose start/end time. It works only on full days. It could be great to be able to choose freely start/end time.
Another way could be to have the possibility to create a private service with free duration. For example I will name the private service "unavailable period" with free duration. Now I just have to add this service to an employee in the planning with date/time start (monday from 1.30pm to 2.15pm). The employee become unalaible in booking system. In that way I could manually set a private appointment for an employee to make the period unavaible when I really need.
Actually I have not find any way to make a period unavaible for customers booking.
Is there any chance that your employee is connected to a Google or Outlook Calendar? Because in that case, you can always insert a busy slot into that calendar, that will immediately reflect in Amelia and make that time unavailable for booking.
It's the best hassle free way I can suggest, because creating another service and manually "booking" it would work, but I'm afraid it would be too time consuming; especially if you have the need for setting up these mini breaks often and suddenly.
It works great! I just have test it with Google calendar :)
The Amelia events are displayed on the Google calendar. On the other way, the google calendar events are not displayed on Amelia Planning. Is it how it works?
I noticed that it is possible to book something in planning menu (backend admin), even if the google calendar date/time is not available. So is this funcitonnality working only on the customer side?
Yes, I'm afraid that 2 way sync only works for blocking the times; it cannot reflect events from Google to Amelia.
It should block the available times if Return Busy Slots option is on in Amelia > Settings > Google; and they should be set to 2500 (that option is a bit lower in that same tab, it's called Number Of Returned Events).
