    Hi there,

I tried upgrading to version 4.1 today, but it crashed my site and I got an error message sent to my inbox with this info:

    WordPress version 5.8
    Current theme: Divi (version 4.9.10)
    Current plugin: Amelia (version 4.1)
    PHP version 7.3.28-1+ubuntu16.04.1+deb.sury.org+1

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 107 of the file /www/wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/extensions/divi_amelia/includes/modules/Search/Search.php. Error message: Cannot declare class DIVI_Search, because the name is already in use

Do you have a spot where I can get the old versions of the plugin?  It seems to be an issue with this version and Divi.  The last version that worked for me was 3.2.

I tried on both WordPress 5.7.2 and WordPress 5.8 and had the same issue.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hi Matt!

Thank you for letting us knowsmile.pngWe'd like to investigate and see if fix can be made immediately.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Hi, Matt,

    Sorry for the delay.

It turned out that there's a bug with the visual editor in Divi.

If you add Ameli as a shortcode through Divi shortcode element, it should work fine according to our test.

Could you please try to add Amelia by using one of our shortcodes?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Liza,

Excuse the delayed response.  I only get the opportunity to run updates on sites every so often.

Did you try your test on this site?  When I try using the Divi code element I still get a critical error.  When I activate Amelia version 4.1 or 4.2 it immediately crashes the site.

    Thanks for any help,

    Matt

    Hi Ivana,

I'm still having the same issue when I upgrade my site beyond Amelia 4.0.1 it crashed the site with a critical wordpress error.  Yes, I noticed on this staging site that Amelia was not installed.  I have to delete via FTP it to get back into the site , but now I have reinstalled at version 4.2.  I don't have a copy of 4.0.1 or I would have reinstalled that.

I have only ever added Amelia within pages as a shortcode, so I don't think the below advise will do anything.

    Hi Ivana,

I found a plugin conflict with a plugin that wasn't in use (WP File Download from Joom United) so I simply deleted that plugin and the issue is solved.  Should have tried that sooner!

    Hi Matt!

Thank you for contacting back and for letting me knowsmile.png

In that case we can close this; I informed the team about the conflict with WP File Download.

If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to open a new ticket, and we'll gladly help.
