I'd like to have some Amelia boxes appear on click as an Elementor popup.

I found some pretty old threads where advice was given, but I wanted to know if there were any updates since those older threads. Additionally, I think I'll need extra support to make sure this works for me, so I wanted to open up my own ticket.

    Thank you

    Heya Devan!

Thank you for reaching out to ussmile.png

I am not sure if this is what you saw, but here is an "official" pop up tutorial:

We added a shortcode for the popup - it needs to have the ID of the button that is calling the popup, so this is how one of the shortcodes should look like in the Elementor pop-up:

    [ameliabooking trigger=amelia-button-id]

so if the button ID is 1 it will be:

    [ameliabooking trigger=1]

So, you create a PopUp and set this shortcode in the popup, you will see the option Load booking form manually when you create Amelia shortcode, where you need to provide the button's ID, please look at the attachment.

When you create a button, on which the PopUp will be called, you set its Button ID (that you will provide in the shortcode above afterwards):

You need to enable the "Prevent Closing on Overlay" option in the popup settings:

    Hi Ivana,

    Thank you!!

What if I want to make an Amelia booking pop up for a specific Amelia employee? Is that possible?

The case: I have a therapists page: https://thrive-34abbf.ingress-earth.easywp.com/therapists/

I'd like to have a "Book with [insert Therapist Name] button. When the user clicks, I'd like for an Amelia widget for that specific employee to popup.

Let me know if this is possible :)

    Thanks,

    DR

Edit: Figured it out! I can make a specific employee's Amelia box pop up with the following short code set up:

[ameliabooking trigger=X employee=Y], where X is the number of the button ID and  Y is the specific employee's ID number in Amelia (you can find this in Dashboard > Amelia > Employees).
