I would like to register customers without the wordpress login.
See attachment #1 for my configuration and in attachment #2 my email for customer login.
I would like to set this configuration:
Client books an appointment leaving his datas (mail, name, ecc)
Client recives email with a link to go to the customer panel
I want my client to pick a password and create a login without using wordpress login, because if I sync my client with wordpress users the client has to set a password via wordpress, and this can be a little tricky for some customer.
I understand that I can't set a password manually for my clients as I do for my specialists, and they have to pick the password themselves, but I would like to know if it is possible to do this avoiding wordpress users
Let me know if you need access to the website to check yourself
You can avoid creating user profiles by disabling this option from Amelia - Settings - Roles settings and you can include a placeholder for customer panel access in your Appointment approved notification.
I hope this helps, do let us know if you need any further assistance.
I would like the customer to have a login in my website.I have now deactivated the setting to automatically create Amelia Customer.
But I want them to have a login, except the fact that I don't want it handled through Wordpress.
In my idea the actions should be the followings:
I am a customer and I pick an appointment (leaving name and email)
I recive an email with appointment pending and to set my login (picking password)
I recieve an email when the appointment is confirmed
What happens now:
I am a customer and I pick an appointment (leaving name and email)
I recive an email with appointment pending
I recieve an email when the appointment is confirmed
There is no place to set the customer password, so if I send in an email the link to the client panel the user can't login in because this login was never set anywhere
Please tell me if you need the credentials to my website
The Customer panel in Amelia works the way you require, so probably there's some missed setting.
If you want your Customers to access their profiles on the front-end Customer panel, you need to create a Customer panel and include %customer_panel_url% placeholder in the Appointment Pending email notification (not in the Customer Panel Access notification since this one is made for the password change).
After they receive an email that their appointment is booked, they will see the link to log into the Customer Panel, and the first time they visit that link, they will enter the password which they will later use to log into the panel.
Also, if you test the Customer Panel, you should book a test Appointment with an email address that wasn't used for any Amelia user before. You should access the Panel being logged out from the WP Admin user (it will be even better if you use incognito mode). Only then the link and the Panel itself will work correctly.
As I put the %customer_panel_url% in the automatic email, a long url is generated. Can I put the dinamic code as hypertext or this can't work? There is a way to have a short url in the email?
There is a shortcode to put a logout button in the website? Imagine I have people using same computer but with different account, I need them to logout form the admin panel and enter with another account

Hi, Claudia,

Hope that will help.
Best Regards.
Thanks Liza,
it is almost working now.
I have 2 additional questions if you can help me:
Can I put the dinamic code as hypertext or this can't work? There is a way to have a short url in the email?
Thanks
Hi Claudia
1. If you add this shortcode as a hyperlink to a specific word the URL will not be displayed it will stay as a hyperlink.
2. When you click on the profile icon in the panel you will see the logout button
