Hi, we want to show Amelia events in a sidebar widget. The shortcode [ameliaevents] works fine, but problem is that the list of events shown is far too long. The number needs to be limited to say, max 5.
We can add a tag to each event and adjust the shortcode by adding this tag : [ameliaevents tag='august']. That's what we did for now.
But, this requires us to update the shortcode in every page template each month, plus whenever an event is created, the editor musn't forget to add a tag with the name of the current month.
There must be a better way to limit the number of events shown, but how?
Thanks!
Hi, Elisabeth,
Thank you for choosing Amelia.
You can set the "Default items per page" to 3 or 6 in Amelia -> General Settings, and then only this number of Events will be displayed. Unfortunately, there's no option "5" (I cannot tell you why exactly, but it's most probably related to some limitations coming from Amelia's code).
Hope that will help.
Best Regards.
