We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I'm developing our database on my copy on my pc (localhost)
How do I download and test?
Hello Tony
Thank you for your interest in wpDataTables.
Unfortunately, we don't provide support for WordPress and localhost installations, so I can't help you with that. I can, however, point you to a few good articles:
If you're using Windows: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-on-your-windows-computer-using-wamp/

Hi Aleksander, thanks for a speedy response but I'm referring to downloading WPDataTables and in the article under the video, it asks for FTP details
I am running WordPress in my pc (localhost) so that I don't mess up our website!!
Hi again Tony
I'm sorry, but I don't know what video you're referring to.
If you have WordPress installed locally, you can still use it as a live website. Just make sure to increase the upload limit, so it's bigger than the size of the plugin, and you'd be able to upload the wpdatatables.zip file through the Plugins/Add New section. In the attached article, you can see how you can increase that limit:
Are You Getting “The link you followed has expired” Error in WordPress?
If you want to go through FTP (folders), you simply need to unzip the file into your wp-content/plugins folder.
In the links provided in my previous response, you will see where those folders should be with a default installation. So, FTP for a live server are folders on your local PC.
On Windows, it's most likely in C:/wamp64/www folder. Linux offers more options since it doesn't need a Wamp software installed, and for Mac I'm not sure, to be honest.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
