Sure you can. You can use the variable placeholders to do that.
Choose a column you want to filter on the front-end, and add %VAR1% as a predefined filtering option (in the Filtering tab). Then, when you're adding the shortcode to the page, you can change it with:
[wpdatatable id=1 var1=test]
It will filter that column per value "test" and display only those results.
Is it possible to pre-filter via a shortcode? So in the front end I can show only parts of a same table.
