You can create a table like this without issues. You'd be able to add an image through an image column. If you want to create an image as a hyperlink, you should use the multi-line string column type and add it like:

<a href="url-to-the-other-page"><img src="url-to-the-image" width="40"></a>

So, the image will be added as a 40px wide thumbnail, but it would work as a hyperlink to another page. Please feel free to explore our sandbox site.

You mean you want to see images in an exported Excel file? Like on our documentation you linked below - when you export the table into Excel, you want to see the image in there?

The only thing you can do is to enable the "Include HTML" option in the table tools menu above the table. However, that will not show an image when you download the file, but instead it will show the HTML used to display the image in wpDataTables, like this:

<img src="http://localhost/current/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/mazda6-1.png">

What you're looking for to achieve is not possible with wpDataTables.
