    Hello,

I purchased and fully stacked Amelia last year from Appsumo. However, I have not used the booking plugin because at the time you didn't offer product or service addons. What is the current status for product or service addons? I also had inquired back in 2019 about adult and children pricing on a product or event? Furthermore, Does Amelia offer the opportunity for the customer to print tickets or vouchers for the activity or event purchased? Thank you for your time.

    Kind regards,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

thank you for reaching out to ussmile.png

Please advise which kind of addons in particular you are interested in, as there could have been a feature that we have released in one of our updates that could be of use for you for that purpose.

In regards to selling products, Amelia is still service / event based.

We will have multitier event tickets implemented in our next update (it's still in testing, so I am unable to provide an ETA; if all goes well it should be by the end of the summer).

We don't have QR codes or printable tickets at the moment, I'm afraid.

I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page. Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

    Hello Ivana,

A use case for an add-on would be for example; a tour operator sells a sightseeing tour, however during the purchase process they are offered multiple add-ons to choose from... like an animal park interaction or activity. For a product use case, lets say Ivana is purchasing a Louis Vuitton, but during the process there are accessories add-ons for purchase, like a scarf or hat.

I'm excited about the rollout of the multi-tier event/service  tickets coming soon. Allowing printable and QR codes would bring Amelia to the next level. :-)

Hi, I have just purchased Amelia and I'm disappointed that this isn't available yet for events.

I am taking small group tours to the Hunter. I have different pickup points so would like to charge different prices for different pickup points that are far away.

Also I wish to sell wine tasting before the tour, so that I can make the bookings with the vineyards in advance.

Are addons for events rolling out at all soon?

    Hey Wendy

Event ticketing should be released with our next major update (within a few weeks), but it could be delayed until the end of the year. I don't see this as a possibility at this time, but there are no guarantees when it comes to development.

You can add wine tasting as an Extra to the service, or you can include a couple of services in a package, but packages are only included in the Pro and the Developer licenses.

    Thank you for your response.

I have the pro version - I bought it for the packages but thought I could use it for events, only to find after purchasing that it is not included in events. I think I read a comment where someone else did the same thing. Maybe you should state that packages are only in services.

I don't think it looks very professional for guests to pay for an event and then have them go back onto the site and purchase an additional product or service. I have to create it as an event as I only have 11 seats for each tour at specific times. The payment should be in just one transaction. I can't imagine it would be difficult to add on with a set cost for additional item or service.

I'm happy to add it as a service, as you have suggested, but only if it's in one transaction. Is that possible? Can you create a cart?? I'm really new at this plugin and websites in general. I'm not a designer, I"m just building my own site, so maybe there is another option. If you could let me know that would be great.

I purchased this because I had a booking plugin that was difficult to use, but it really does has so many more options than this plugin.

    Thank you,

    Wendy

Just had a thought - if you're going to have children at a different price couldn't you just change the name to whatever the user would like. eg instead of separate pricing for children make it separate price for wine tasting/pickups etc. It just seems like an obvious need if you're holding an event. I'm so surprised that you don't offer it.

    Hello Wendy.

Thank you for your feedback, we've added the info that Events can't be used with Packages:

    9046116020.png

You can still use it as a service if I understood what you want to achieve. Packages allow you to add multiple appointments for one or multiple services, and people pay for the whole package straight away - there are no additional payments for appointments included in the package. There's no cart, but everything's done within Amelia.

A service can have a Maximum Capacity defined, so if you want to allow only 11 seats, the Maximum capacity of service should be set to 11. Then, each time slot will be bookable for 11 people in total.

Prices can be different per service, so you can create a service for adults, and a service for children, but in that case, that could lead to overbooking, since there's no capacity per location (yet), so if you include both services in a package, you'd be able to define 5 seats for adults, and 6 for children, or any other combination, but if you leave 11 for adults, and 11 for children, 22 people will be able to book the same time slot.
