We are trying to book people into Services manually, via the back-end. We have created Customer profiles for each person, before trying to book via the 'Appointments' button in the back-end Calendar or in Appointments. Amelia is not allowing us to select additional people for the workshop session date, even though there is space for an additional 5 people (6 in total).
Also, Wednesday sessions dates are not available for selection on the back-end Calendar in Amelia. In addition, Wednesday session dates are missing from the front-end Calendar on these pages:
When you are making a booking from the backend, you can only make it for one person at a time, however, having a minimum 3 your system demands that you book 3 people immediately at once which is not possible from the backend; you can optionally enable Allow Booking Below Minimum Capacity in Amelia > Settings > Appointments.
Here, dates during July are unavailable for the first Wednesday Service, available for the second Service, then unavailable again for the third Service. I have made sure that all three Services have capacity minimum 1 and maximum 6.
Thank you for your reply. However, you have missed something here. I did set the Holidays and other unavailable dates – these are correct. However, it is the other dates that are unavailable that is the problem. These dates should be available for booking:
7 July, 14 July, 21 July, 28 July and 18 Aug
The odd thing is that some other dates are correctly available: 11 August, 25 Aug and 8 September.
Following my last message, if you go to the second and third Wednesday Print Group Service, those dates are unavailable. But, if you go the second Service (discounted for RPW Members), those dates are available.
Tim already has 3 appointments booked (within packages) for service "Wednesday Print Group with Tim Needham (discounted for RPW Members)":
And, since one employee can only work on one appointment at a time, the other two services are not available for booking. When you go to your booking page and select this service:
Those 3 dates are still available for booking:
However, if you choose the other two services, they are blocked, because an employee can't work on multiple services at the same time.
Thank you for your reply. I understand the principle, but those sessions should be open to RPW Members and people from the other two categories. If this is not possible, then Amelia would really not be suitable for us.
Would it be possible to get around this, for example by setting up two other employee names, similar but different to Tim Needham?
If you were to add two more employees, and assign each of those employees to one of these 3 services, then you would be able to do this.
Since each employee would be assigned to each service, you could hide the Employee selection, and once they select the service, the employee working on that service would automatically be assigned. In that way, each service will be bookable separately.
1) The three remaining Wednesday dates in July and 18 August are unavailable, when only one person has booked, and of course there are a maximum of six spaces available.
Why are there no spaces available?
2) If new Employees have to be created, there are problems in creating near-identical ones. They each require separate email addresses, which do not exist under the domain name. In any case, they really should not need to be created, because of 1) above
I think I have solved the problems now, by creating three different staff profiles for one person, each allocated to one Service. This way he/she can be booked by the different attendee groups we have.
I'll check again today and let you know if we have any further issues.

For the Service, the minimum for numbers is set to 3 and the maximum is 6.
Can you help please?
Thanks,

Hi Sinclair,
thank you for reaching out to us
This is because your minimum is set to 3.
When you are making a booking from the backend, you can only make it for one person at a time, however, having a minimum 3 your system demands that you book 3 people immediately at once which is not possible from the backend; you can optionally enable Allow Booking Below Minimum Capacity in Amelia > Settings > Appointments.
Hi Ivana
Thanks for your reply. However, this has not worked for all the Services from Tim Needham. See the following page:

Here, dates during July are unavailable for the first Wednesday Service, available for the second Service, then unavailable again for the third Service. I have made sure that all three Services have capacity minimum 1 and maximum 6.
Could you take a look please?
Thank you.

Hi Sinclair,
I see now - is it all right for me to use the old temporary admin, or if it's not working anymore, can you please make me another one?
Hi Ivana
Yes, please use that admin.
Best regards,
Sinclair
Hi Ivana
Have you had a chance to look at this? I would like to get this resolved today, as the workshops need to be booked today and tomorrow.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Sinclair

Hi Aleksander
Thank you. One question – where could the Employee selection be hidden?
