We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hello,
I followed the instructions from this page: https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-wpdatatables/creating-wpdatatables-from-google-spreadsheets/
I added the URL yet I still get this error: https://prnt.sc/17oxgn7
Adding the link from here, as the tutorial says: https://prnt.sc/17oxjhj
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Hello David
Thank you for your purchase.
You misinterpreted the instructions. You're not supposed to copy the URL from the pop-up:
But instead from the address bar:
Try that, and it should work fine.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi Aleksandar, thanks for your reply. I did it that way because I also tried the "correct" way and didn't work. I keep getting an error that i need to add headings to columns, but it's already in there. I can record a video if that would help?
I took the same google sheet, downloaded as CSV and uploaded - it worked. But I really need the google sheets working for changing the data.
Edit: I looked into my dashboard and I see it has been created even from google sheets. So I add the URL, get an error, but in fact it is imported
A different question - where in settings or what table type do I need to select to have dropdown in filters?
Thanks
Hi again David
Which version of the plugin do you have? Also, can you share that spreadsheet with me, so I can see what you're importing?
If you have some formatting applied to empty columns, the plugin can see them as columns that need to be imported, so it sees them as columns without headers.
Under settings of each column, when you go to the Filtering tab, you can change the filter type:
