    Hi,

I do not understand why the firstname, lastname and email fields are in grey (not editable) when I book a service from AMELIA "step-by-step process"?

So I am not able to book a service for another person from the same browser.

Is it normal ? Do I have to give an access to the customer-panel from the menu of my website to enable the customer to make a logout and then enter a new firstname and lastname when he wants to take an appointment for his child for instance ?

    Thank you

    Fred

    Hi Frédéric,

    thank you for reaching outsmile.png

I suppose that you are logged in and that your data is already saved in database, which is reason why your data in booking form are disabled and already filled. Can you please make another user with different email and then login with that email address and you will able to make appointment.

Also, you can open your browser in Incognito mode (which means that you are not logged in - as your future clients) and you will see that you are able to make an appointment.

Please check in Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer > if the option Check customer's name for existing email when booking is enabled; please disable it if it is.

Also please check if this customer has a Role in WordPress > Users, that may cause the fields to be prefilled.

We don't recommend booking appointments on the front-end being logged as Admin, Manager or Employee. It may cause mixed roles and access issues.

Please also advise them to use incognito mode for the front-end to test once you have checked these points.

    Hi Ivana,

As a customer "FRED" I am login to my customer panel, but I want to book an appointment for my wife "JULIE". When I take an appointment via your step by step interface from my HAIRDRESSER website, FRED's details are in grey. I am not allowed to add the JULIE's details.

And as a customer I do not understand why and in addition I do not know the URL of the Customer panel so I am not able to logout from my customer panel.

My customer FRED will not use the Incognito mode to schedule his wife's appointment. Do you see the issue ?

Do I have to give an access to the customer-panel from the menu of my website to enable the customer to visualise that he is connected to his customer panel and consequently he has to make a logout before booking an appointment for his wife ?

    Thank you

    Fred

    Hi Frédéric,

As Fred you can only manage your existing booked appointments in the customer panel.

You can make a new appointment for yourself, or Julie, only on the Amelia Booking window, outside of the Panel.

The reason fields will still say "FRED" is because you made an appointment for Fred, while logged into your WordPress as Fred.

Once you disable Check customer's name for existing email when booking, fields will become open, and you can book for Julie, even when logged into WordPress as Fred.

    I hope this helpssmile.png

    Hi Ivana,

Thank you for your reply. But I have already the first option disabled - please refer to the second screenshot below.

With this setting disabled and Incognito Mode, as a customer I log in my customer panel (Paul Lamy). And then always in Incognito mode and from the same browser, I visit the website to book a new appointment, the customer details are in grey. So I am not able to book an appointment for my wife.

    Hi Frédéric,

thank you for letting me know; I apologize for the later reply as we don't work on weekends.

Please also disable "Automatically create Amelia Customer user" in Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer, and make sure that cache is cleared.
