I would like customers to be able to reschedule appointments. On my website, each customer already has a profile page for my services, so I inserted Amelia's customer panel shortcode [ameliacustomerpanel appointments=1] on that page.
When the customer panel asks for a password, the panel never recognizes the password, which is irritating to my customers. When I remove the need for a password, amelia sends a link that goes nowhere. According to the documentation, amelia requires a link to a dedicated url with the customer panel shortcode. So, I inserted the shortcode there as well [ameliacustomerpanel appointments=1]. Predictably, after the customer enters the email in their customer panel, checks their inbox, clicks on the link (the placeholder is in the link), then follows the link, they find the same customer panel asking for the same information. Naturally, this irritates them even more. I have no access to their passwords, so I can't help them either. What's up? I'd just like them to be able to change their appointments.
Thank you, could you also provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Blazenka is currently out of the office, so I have taken the liberty to check out your site and see what is going on.
Your setup is good, you have added the link to the Customer Panel WP Page appropriately; but there was no %customer_panel_url% in the Appointment Approved Notification template (I have inserted it now).
The procedure goes like this:
Customer books, they receive Appointment Approved email with Customer Panel link in there. They click the link and they are taken to the Customer Panel page where they can set up their password immediately, and log in.
Again, please bear in mind that customer needs to make a booking before having access to the panel. Also, make sure to do all test in Incognito mode or logged out of your Admin Profile on WordPress as this can cause conflicts.
