Thank you for being so understanding, and we hope you enjoy the long weekend!
I have the role settings setup so that everytime a customer schedules a service, (if new customer), they are setup with a wordpress user account. That is enabled. The account IS created but it does not identify the user as an Amelia customer. Just the default i set as a customer in the WP settings. Is there another setting that I am missing?
Hi there,
thank you for contacting
Have you also enabled the option Automatically create Amelia customer in Amelia > Settings > Roles?
Also, you can set New User Default Role to Amelia Customer in WordPress > Settings.
Howdy and grand rising,
Yes, I have enabled the option to automatically create Amelia customer.
So when you say set New User default role to Amelia customer, you are saying that would require human intervention? Is there a way to have it automatically set the user to amelia customer from the appointment being scheduled and approvved? We have other clients that are not customers so we can set that default to Amelia for every customer. We have a learning site that has clients who schedule consults and/or purchase courses w/o consults.
Hi there,
this setting needs to be changed only once.
By checking Automatically Create Amelia Customer in Amelia > Settings > Roles > Customer, you will not have to do it manually.
Just make sure that you check both of these once, and that is it; process is automatic from there on
Thank you. But I do not want to set default in wp to amelia b/c i havve other folks who are not amelia customers. I have students who want consults and students who do not want consults. Those tthat want consults are granted teh amerila customer role. Those who do not want a consult are just merely customers. So if if default setting is WP is NOT amelia customer, then the checkbox on the amelia side of the house is null and void?????
Hi there,
I'm afraid that this setting is currently for all users who book in Amelia; we don't have a way for it to be selective at the moment and make only certain users Amelia Customers automatically.
I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
