I have created a page (see Related URL). I would like to show potential customers the dates and details of workshops on a calendar. Your guide for a Calendar assumes that we know the names and emails of customers. At this stage, we don't have that info, because they are not yet customers. It seems that I can show Events, but I can't see how to put them on a Calendar, rather than a long list that would extend down the page and would be difficult to use.
In short, how do we show the available workshops that can be booked via an easy to view calendar, over several months?
Please note that each workshop is priced at three different price points – full price, reduction for members, reduction for younger age group. In this case, does the workshop have to be shown three times, or can this be handled at the booking or payment stage?
Your guide for a Calendar assumes that we know the names and emails of customers
Names and emails are required as the last step of booking for both services and events, with the purpose of the customer doing the booking for themselves. In that case they can enter their info on the last step.
If you want to use the Event Calendar you can use the shortcode [ameliaevents type=calendar]; it's more expansive than the list view, and can be seen here.
Please let me know if it worked for you betterKind regards.
I have one more question. I have set up my Events and placed a Calendar on a page using the shortcode. I can see that there are 'Maximum allowed spots', but no minimum. How do I show a minimum number for an Event please?
Hi Ivana. I have just noticed that, when I click on an individual Event on a single Calendar date, then click on 'Book Now', it moves to the Book Event form. That is fine, but under the title, the dates shown go from the first session date to the last. Therefore, it does not show the date of that single Event only. Why is this?
Thanks for your reply. I managed to solve that 'Book Now' issue, and I changed the number of Events to view in Settings.
I think the only issue I have right now is one the sample Calendar page I created. After the Calendar, the page shows x5 'Upcoming Events'.
1) Can the number of Upcoming Events shown be changed? 2) The title shows 'Upcoming events Jun 01 - Aug 31. As the first five events go to Jun 24, the title is confusing. So, instead, can I delete the date in the title, leaving just the words 'Upcoming events'?
I am also currently trying to integrate WooCommerce with Amelia. Is it possible to link WooCommerce directly to the Events I have already created in Amelia and make them 'Products' for use in WooCommerce? If not, it means I have spent a lot of time creating Events, only to have to create the same items again in WooCommerce.
On that booking page I mentioned earlier, the Calendar, I tried all of the shortcodes shown below. Each Employee has Assigned Services, Work Hours and Days Off saved. Why is it that the Calendar etc. shows the dates as unavailable for booking, with the dates crossed out?
For the second 3 packages, Tim's, only 1 Wednesday for June July and August, then 3 for September, and full week from October and on.
Please check Special Days and Days Off. Also, please make sure that you're setting Tim's schedule via Amelia > Employees > Work hours and Assigned Services.
Sure, you can also provide me the login if you check these points above and it still does not work; just make a temporary admin for WordPress for me, with any email username and password (just mark Private Reply).
For the Events, you can connect them just like Appointments; you can find the setup here.
thank you for the credentialsI apologize for the later response as we don't work on weekends.
I have made changes regarding Tim's days not being visible, but when I went to your booking page I see that you no longer have Services Booking at all, only events.
Please advise about this.
Also, please make sure that Tim's work hours on Services and Events are not overlapping as they can make each other unavailable.
Also please advise on the second situation as Events and Packages are two completely different features in Amelia.
If Tim is working on Events and Services for printing on same days, his days in Services will be blocked (because of Events). Once you remove Tim from the Events that are held on the same day as his printing Service, his Service will become available.
For the view, if you want only single appointments to be seen you can use [ameliabooking] shortcode or [ameliacatalog].
You can also insert [ameliabooking employee=ID] to show just one employee's individual booking availabilities (ID is the ID of the employee next to their name in Amelia > Employees).
I just have one more question. Rather than having one bank account for the whole business, each employee will need to be paid into their own bank account for an individual service.
Is this possible? If so, how could I do that please?

Hi Sinclair,
thank you for reaching out to us
I would be happy to advise:

Hi Ivana. One more thing – I have created Events after 8 September 2021, but none of these are showing. Is there a date limit setting for Events?
Thank you.
Sinclair Ashman
Hi Sinclair,
thank you for the kind reply.
How do I show a minimum number for an Event please?
At the moment, there is only Maximum capacity for the Events.
For the Event Book Now date, please tell me which one it is, so that I can test it.
For the events of September 8th, please check in Amelia > Events > Edit Event, if the Booking opens immediately is checked.

[ameliabooking service=1 employee=1 show=services]

[ameliaevents event=1 type='calendar']
Thank you,

Hi Ivana
Correction: the page you need to see in reference to the Calendar dates is this one:
https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/product/wednesday-print-group-with-tim-needham/
Thank you,
Sinclair
Hi Ivana
If you go here: https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/book-a-package-of-printmaking-sessions/ you will see the issue. The dates are all unavailable. For example, the Work Hours for Tim Needham are 12:30 - 16:30 (4 Hours). He has Assigned Services on Wednesdays – duration 4 hours.
Everything matches to 4 hours. Why then does the calendar show the dates as unavailable?
If I give you my login details in a private reply, could you please take a look at the settings please?
Thank you,
Sinclair
Hi Sinclair,
thank you for contacting back
On the page that you gave me, https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/book-a-package-of-printmaking-sessions/ I'm able to see that for the first 3 packages all Thursdays are available.
For the second 3 packages, Tim's, only 1 Wednesday for June July and August, then 3 for September, and full week from October and on.
Please check Special Days and Days Off. Also, please make sure that you're setting Tim's schedule via Amelia > Employees > Work hours and Assigned Services.

Hi Ivana
Thank you for your reply. However, I'm not sure what you mean.
Please check the following:
This page shows Events on the Calendar:
https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/book-a-printmaking-session/
The Packages page shows Services:
https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/book-a-package-of-printmaking-sessions/
Is this not correct? If not, what should I do to correct the situation, and the time overlapping.
Thank you.
Sinclair Ashman
Hi Ivana
I have now cancelled all the Events and the Package page is now working fine:
https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/book-a-package-of-printmaking-sessions/
I would like the other page to allow users to select individual sessions, not a Package. How do I do this please?
The Events on the following page of course now show the Events as cancelled: https://ropewalkprintworkshop.org.uk/book-a-printmaking-session/
Thank you.
Sinclair

Hi Sinclair,
Unfortunately at the moment Amelia can only accept one payment account per payment method; the full amount of payments will go to that account only.
Hi Ivana
Ok, thanks. I think that is everything I need on this ticket, so you can close it.
Thanks for all your help!
Best regards,
Sinclair
Anytime, Sinclair
Please feel free to open a new one for anything you need.
I wish you a great day!
Thanks Ivana. Yes, I'll do that if necessary.
You have a great day too!
