Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!

Im trying to transfer my table via cvs, but not all columns are transferring over.
Hello Chase.
Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
I suppose you're using the feature "create a table linked to an existing data source"?
Please check if you have the same number of column headers as you have cells below. For example if you have 6 headers in the first row and 7, 8, 10 or more cells in a row below - the plugin will not be able to recognise those as columns.
Can you please send me the file you're trying to use so I can inspect it locally?
Please note that this is a public ticket so if that file contains sensitive data make sure to enable the private response.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Absolutely. I'll double-check it. Heres the file
Hi again Chase
Thanks for the file.
First thing to note here is that you're missing a couple of rows in the top of the file, so they should be deleted. Then, you have multiple headers, and that's not what the plugin can handle.
The first column doesn't have a header, and there are some columns that have repeating headers (Points, PG). You would need to add a header to the first column; remove headers from the 3rd row, and rename the column headers for repeating headers. Something like this:
All those marked headers are the changes you need to make - add headers to empty headers, and rename the headers so they are unique.

Thanks for all your help. It worked. Im thinking about upgrading to premium. I have two questions. 1 - will it automatically update from google spreadsheets if its published? 2 - do hidden column transfer?
Hi again, you're welcome.
There are two methods of linking an existing Google Spreadsheet:
1. Linking to a published spreadsheet for which the spreadsheet needs to be published to the web, but it has a 15-minute cache on Google's side, so it can take around 15 minutes for changes to be seen in wpDataTables.
2. Linking to a spreadsheet using an API - this can work for both published and private sheets, as long as you have a link, and there's no cache included.
I don't understand your second question - can you please explain in a bit more detail?
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

If i want to hide a column on my spreadsheet, so it's still there but you can't see it, will it transfer over to the pluggin? and lastly will the conditional formatting transfer so it gets color coded based on what I'm doing on my document behind the scenes or do I have to conditionally format it on the plugin?
Hi Chase
If you hide a column in Google Spreadsheet it will still be displayed in the table you create, but you can always choose what columns you want to hide/display on the front-end by modifying the column's settings in the back-end or from the Column list
Formatting applied in the original file (font families, color, size, fill color, etc.) will not be copied over to the wpDataTable, but you can make whatever adjustment you may need in WpDataTables.
Ok so I went ahead and bought it but now I'm realizing it might only hide full columns and not rows where I have them hidden. I have the data below which I am pulling formulas from. I dont want to show where I'm getting the numbers from. is there anyway to hide those rows?
Hello again.
Formulas, formatting, styles, etc cannot be transferred into wpDataTables from external sources.
To create a table from a spreadsheet that uses formulas, please take a look at the tutorial on this link.
You can hide the columns, correct, but you can't hide the rows. That is - you are able to hide rows if you're using a custom CSS class with Conditional Formatting. Those rows would still be plotted on the page, but hidden using custom CSS, so if you have 10 rows on the page, and two of them are hidden, you will see only 8 rows on that page.

Awesome. The videos are helpful btw. So is there a formula to get a color scale like the one in the picture or do I have to do that manually?
Unfortunately, there's no formula, Chase.
They have to be configured manually.
